Wish Suzuki was still this passionate about MX. Maybe someday. Love the rear fender from this era. Also, the 2025 RMZs come with graphics kits from each decade. The “70s graphics are green for the TM. Pretty cool. Too bad that’s all they’ve done this year.

Just bought my 5th KDX. First had a 92 which I rebuilt with my dad and then found an 87 and fixed it for my brother. We rode them pretty hard and then I sold them to buy my now wife’s engagement ring. Fast forward a few years and now I have a fully rebuild 94, an 89 parts bike, and just picked up a destroyed but saveable 97. Very excited to dig into my H series and have probably watched this video like 5 times at least.

I owned a 1975 Suzuki tm 125 back in 1997. I purchased it restored Riding condition. Purchased it for $450.00 from phil pummel out of bowersville Ohio. He was a former ama motocross rider and he raced over seas on grand prix bikes. He had restored the tm 125 and put a newer rm 250 carburetor on it. I purchased the bike running test ridden in obviously it was wicked. At the time of purchase it came with a full tank of 113 octane premix 🤘 loved and miss that tm. It was wicked and was like a light switch!😯 It was on or off Phil would say. Unfortunately Phil left us late 90s r.i.p. Phil pummel. You were a good guy towards me far as i was concerned.

I really enjoy watching all of your content,i grew up in Maryland riding and racing at alot of the tracks i have heard u mention.we lived about 20 mins up the road from Budds creek, and also raced big berm, antietam,Dunkirk, white Oak,Dylwynn and lake sugar tree to mention a few i have found memories of,we moved to Southern illinois in 1977 but i was able to return to East coast a couple times to visit an did a race at antietam in 1981.i met Jim Oneal's sister when i had to have surgery at a st louis hospital, she was one of my nurses and i was watching a motocross race on tv when she came in my room.she asked me if i ever heard of O'neal racing gear and thats when she told me Jim was her brother, thats my O'neal story tony, lol.i actually wore the Griffs pants from 1979 to 1984,then my boss at The yamaha shop gave me a set of O'neal gear to match the 1985 250 YZ i Was racing, made it thru most of that year untill a first turn pile up ripped a good sized hole on the pant leg,but overall i thought it was decent stuff back then.

I had to thank you for this great video! I was 16 in 1982 and I bought a standard model brand-new just for trail riding and loved it like a family member. I could wheelie that thing right through sixth gear and I never had a single issue with it. I miss it to this day 😢 I’ve bought a few basket cases through the years to fix up and ride just for the nostalgia

One of the best toys ever, had a 1977 FL250 and beat the hell out of it for years. Only thing that ever broke was the rear axle, snapped it clean off.

I bought both 1985 and 1988 Kawasaki KX 125's. The 85 had a faster, more powerful engine that kept pulling on top but the suspension, brakes and handling of the '88 was far better than the '85.

Sorry for all the CR lovers, but jeremy said it wasnt good at all ,the frame probably good for nsr's but a failure for mx,honda never recover at 2t after this,no comparison from 96 and back,i v riden a 98 for a season at trails,it was just ok after full sys upgrades 😤 probably the last version was much better, but check what the people ride(jap side)- RM 'S and alu YZ's mostly. for a reason.

I kinda built the first one I guess! Back in the IT days I raced for Yamaha Europe when they pulled the plug on the race team leaving me with a contract but no machines. I worked as a custom frame builder then so they said okay, build something to replace the old monoshock 465 and maybe do something with the 4 strokes. I already raced a 680 comverted XT500 in MX so grabbed an old XT250 engine, built a linkage single shock frame the bored the 250 to 350 using a Suzuki 370 piston and rode it in the British enduro championship. It was a weapon in the woods but the lack of top-end revs was the biggest problem (they were two-valvers), it was fast though, we built it basically as a 125. End of the season it was sent to Japan and I went over to the 490 again.

The other manufacturers stopped building race quads honda built last quad before ban and others never got to improve theres cause of ban and then 10 yrs later 2000 ex came out but could beat a 250r and then a championship racer doug gust put a drz400 in his 250r frame (walsh frame) and made people look at 4 strokes for racing then he helped design z400 then manufacturers started making race quads again in 2003 z400, 2004 Yamaha 426,then 450,2005 honda 450r ,2006 Suzuki 450r by 2009 there were 8 race quads to choose from .was the best racing and should have been on tv lije mx !

WR450F was a better choice. It had an electric start in addition to the kickstart it also had headlight/tailight 18 inch back wheel so you can stick a fat tire on it and side stand The only better thing on a YZ450F is it was uncorked from the factory it was race ready to go where WR you had rejet and rework the carburetor to open it up.
