Tony was my idol until ... Herlings overtook him ... in the last lap ... sadly all for the money. He has wasted all his fame in the last two races. This is not a sporting move !!! Sadly .. 15 years as a top athlete he wasted everything in one round ... We will remember this one negative move that erased all his life effort. Pity Tony pity !!!

😂 he wasn’t even the title fight, he’s loyal to KTM, even if he didn’t let Herlings pass Jeffrey would of won. It’s a team sport. I don’t think anyone will really remember Cairoli for the team orders. If you let something like that stop him from being your idol then you need to tough up & stop being use a snowflake

Your comment is complete B.S there are more videos of Toni winning than there is him falling off which is part and parcel of the sport trained by Stefan everts, watch his on board videos how smooth and controlled he is how fast he comes out of the gate you would fall off if you tried to keep up with him for 40 minutes

He is the biggest champion in the history of European motocross!
@RedBullMotorsports2 жыл бұрын
Bigger than Everts?
@walken1992 жыл бұрын
@@RedBullMotorsports ok so on paper Everts is the biggest champion but let’s not forget that he was champion in 2001 and 2002 in the 500cc category and so the competition was divided, I think we can all agree that the main category in those years was the 250 class. Evert was a great champion but I don’t think his championships had the same competition as Cairoli’s did. And then I think I that Cairoli raised the bar in sport, everyone had to figure out a way to become more professional and train that much harder. I would say that he probably would’ve beat Everts, he was more aggressive and dealt with pressure extremely well. In the end I think he’s nine championships have more value than those of Everts, that’s just my opinion.

He is the greatest for me. I did racing 35 years for myself in local championship. And i saw a lot of riders in world championship. Started with Andre Malherbe Thorpe Jobe Geboers. Everts. They all was amazing. But Tony did all little more perfect. And most important. He never changed his personality. He is so friendly and open guy. I was this year in Teutschenthal. It waa my Daughters dream to see him at his last race in Germany. She is 10 years old and also a big fan of him. She will never forget this day also as Tony was little injured and cant race 100%. But this was not the point. To see him was important. A fantastic person. And nobody can top him for me. For ever. Thank you so much Tony that i can enjoy you so many years. It was a pleasure to see you racing.

As seeing him retire wasn't sad enough, is even sadder to see that the only nation where he's not acclaimed and known by the big crowd is his own, Italy. As an Italian (and MX passionate) I'm ashamed that the national media's coverage is so poor and he's mostly unknown outside the off-road/MX "aficionados".Nevertheless, I wouldn't aspect much more since motocross is a "niche" sport here. Ask 10 Italians who V.Rossi is and 10 out of 10 will know the right answer, but maybe 2 or 3 ever even heard Tony's name. Sadly, here motocross, and off-road sports in general, doesn't move the big money MotoGP does. All this with all due respect for Valentino Rossi, another national treasure that luckily got all the respect, love, and media attention that he deserved.
