I was fortunate enough to have been able to see all of the ORIGINAL SIX teams play before the expansion..I was not able, however, to see hockey played in the MLG or the Boston Garden..Timing is everything..

The Leafs played their last game at the Gardens on Feb 13, 1999, which was a Saturday, so it might have been on the week of that. There's a promo for "The Nature of Things" during the credits and that show aired regularly on Thursdays at that time, so I'm guessing it's Feb 11, 1999.

The Gardens lasted for almost 70 years. Modern arenas and stadiums are replaced now after about 20 or 30 years. It's true that they don't build em like they used to.

I tried my best to get tickets to the last game with no luck but ended up going to the 3rd last game against the capitals and the leafs won 5-3 if I remember correctly.

Thank goodness MLG and the Forum weren't knocked down completely, unlike Yankee Stadium etc. Canada knows how to respect its sports shrines.
