Ohh BOY!!! Having second thoughts on doing mine. Once I noticed the hat was gone...yeah. But I love Abigail, so thanks for showing what I gotta unplug. 👍😂

It was a JOB! If you have a good and reliable mechanic, throw the job to him... I decided to do mine myself because it's very hard to find a good mechanic by us - the good ones are beyond busy, the non-busy ones are either crooks or idiots. My brother in law had his radiator replaced 4 times in one year because they kept putting in some crap radiator from China.

@@diyduo_getyourfix Thanks again for posting, a fully detailed video. Finally. I've decided to do that instead. Get it done right by an expert. Thanks, happy holidays to you both. 🙂👍

Mechanically inclined but this may be enough to make me not want to do it. Haha thanks for the video, enjoy the format

AudiRings, we aim to be truthful in all our posts - this was a JOB. But John looks at it this way - if it was a pain for him, and he bought the best parts he could find - how much would he pay an actual mechanic who'll probably replace with some cheapo aftermarket radiator that maybe lasts a year. If you do decide to replace yourself, let us know how it goes. And are you an Audi guy? We have one of those too, and John pretty much had to replace the entire fuel injection system from the front to the back (it was actually what inspired me to create the channel) - and he has forbid me from ever buying another one. 🙃

IDK if you still have this Jeep, but youre using the wrong flavor gatorade in there. You want the HOAT stuff not the lemon lime flavor. The lemon lime could corrode the valve cover.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge! You brought up something I didn't think of when replacing my radiator... I've always used Prestone, but that doesn't mean I should keep doing so. In my situation, which HOAT would you recommend? It appears I'll need to flush out entirely and replace...

@@diyduo_getyourfix furthermore I'm no expert, I just found this information myself and wasted a day off heating, letting cool and flushing my coolant

Thanks for the additional info - we're all backyard mechanics trying to save money and keeping our cars running!
