I like the video. I would however like to see more restoration type of parts for the New Edge Mustangs. I do understand that the platform isn't all that old as of yet, but it can be difficult to find parts that commonly wear quickly. Salvage yards are an option but the problem is, the part you find to replace your worn or broken one is just as old or older than the one you're replacing. Thanks for the hard work. You guys are great.

Finally got around to changing mine on my 01 mustang. The thing just disintegrated when I took it off. But I didn't see 6 clips under there, hmmm...??? Consequently, it doesn't lay completely flat onto the glass...

I have a leak on my driver"s side floor coming from the front. I have looked and looked and cannot find a video or pictures on any forum that deals with fixing the leak. I imagine that the drain cowl is clogged by leaves and/or pine straw, BUT WHERE IS IT???? If you could do a video about this, I am sure many many people will benefit! thank you!
@latemodelrestoration9 жыл бұрын
Erich Coleman Once you have the wiper cowl removed you should be able to spot any debris that could potentially be contributing to a leak. -Landan
@susheelover9 жыл бұрын
Thank you for responding...I did see some leaves, and I removed them. What I cannot find anywhere on the net through, diagrams, forums and KZbin is EXACTLY where is the drain plug on the 2001 Mustang? Do I need to take out the wiper motor to access it. I am in Florida now and it is raining almost everyday, so I am very close to paying someone to take care of this, but I would much rather do it myself.
@jdigitalseven78 жыл бұрын
This is late, but have found possible fix....if you take carpet up and put silicone sealant against the edge of lower door, it should protect from most water coming in. I believe it drains from front to back and water exits drain in front of rear tire. if those seams don't have sealant, water can leak through on trip to drain. I think originally it was just welded and thought to suffice...but some need that seam by door caulked with sealant. Best advise is try to deal with seatbelt torx screw first...mine was so rusted and I had to soak it in liquid wrench...that should free carpet (along with quarter panel)enough. Back seats should be removed too.

Erich Coleman did u ever figure out exactly what was causing the water leak? I have a cracked cowl cover and wondering if that is my issue. My leak is coming from under the dash which drains down to the driver side and sometimes the passenger

Think you can do a coyote swap on a v6 new edge?
@latemodelrestoration11 жыл бұрын
kendrik hobson This is completely doable! Check out our Coyote Swap project in the link below. You would follow the same basic steps but you would need to add a return style fuel system and 8.8 rear end. www.latemodelrestoration.com/products/Mustang-Coyote-Swap-Project
