99-04 Mustang two peace cowl vent

Glad I ran into your video. My cowl, like most of them from that era, is trashed. I was looking a the OEM cowl but those are close to $200. Next in line is an aftermarket one piece for about $125 and those 2 piece thing for about $30. Didn't see great reviews on the 2 piece units but yours didn't look all that bad

Got one of those two piece cowls from eBay for my 2000 v6 mustang mine was bad had to mod it I think I will go with a more expensive one in the future

Holy smokes! How did the old one get so beat up? lol I've honestly had mostly good luck with cheap ebay parts. The only thing I hate about them is waiting for them to come on the slow boat from China. I had a hell of a time getting the one of my truck when I changed the wiper linkage bushings, whoever worked on it last had lost most of the clips and used different types of screws for every single place. I literally had to use four different screwdrivers just to get it off lol. I did replace them with proper screws when I put it back together. Looks good, it's amazing how much difference a little part like a cowl makes. You don't really think about it till you replace it. I'd go with two sided tape for the center joint.

hey there i have a 01 cobra that is eating oil and fluid and blowing tons of white smoke... do u have any experience with what this could be?? and could you recommend any good mustang specialists anywhere on the east coast?? i would be willing to ship the car to get worked on i just need her running good for a fair price... please help ive been googling for weeks and cant seem to find any solid places... please help i saw u have the same car and im hoping the same love for cobras... please help thanks in advance.. -peter

On my 97.. those cowls are harder to find it seems.. i put conditioner on mine every month to make sure it stays fresh..lol

What you talking bout? Every time I goto a junk yard the only cowl vent covers I find in mint condition are the 94-98 with all the circle holes and screen under. 😜
