How exactly do you separate the cartridge from the vein housing? Just tap on it with a hammer? After removing the 6 bolts that hold it in of course. Mine is really, and I mean REALLY stuck in there. Also how freely should the turbines move? The cartridge in it now won't spin freely, but does move. Thanks ! Will

I'm going to hazard a guess that the carbon is engine oil burning up and not diesel. I bet you take the impeller apart and you'll find all sorts of treats under there.
