Well you are the first person realized that sound comes from transmission 👏 i am thinking the same with you this "grrrrrhhhh" sound comes from transmission,only real drivers can know that sound.. i have a astra g and such a long time i ve heard the same sound like a "grrrrhh" but i was not know that where is it comes from.. and i kept driving.. finally transmission blocked and broken..

Mam od 12 lat identyczną, prócz konfiguracji panelu środkowego, dekorów ( mam srebrne ) i lamp przednich ( u mnie są ori ksenony ). Mój silnik to M43TU-118KM. Ta jednostka napędowa z Twojego filmu nawet ciszej pracuje bo nie ma Disy ( która po latach czasami lekko klekocze ). Nie zamieniłbym tego samochodu na żaden inny. Pomimo niskiej mocy to jest jedna z ostatnich Trójek prowadzących się tak analogowo. Prócz tego średnie spalanie wychodzi mi 7,8. To przyspieszenie to tak lajtowo żeś potraktował ;-)

Oil sensor seems to be faulty, brakes are shot, one wheel bearing is shot(maybe more) and soon the fuel pump will be done with as well if you drive it constantly on low fuel in the tank. The car will take care of you ONLY if you take care of it.

Well one benefit of driving on reserve fuel is that you'll know sooner when the pump is failing and the symptoms will be more accentuated. But still, you' re right! My rule is that I should not drive with lower than 1/4 of the tank and optimal is around 30-40l capacity as it's not straining the fuel containment system. (It's an old car afterall with lots of plastics)

Nice one again Joe, my son owns two BMWs a 2005 3 ltr 1 series his pride and joy great car with the right engine for the 1 series, and an X5 diesel auto for family shifting duties, he recons if are going to have 4 cylinders and petrol you might as well get something else. Very good and fun equivalent this 316i for a japanese economy car, fuel efficiency is pretty much the same and reliability is not bad either on the m43b19 4 cylinder. It's good fun to get the back end sliding. Takes some skill with less power but it's doable.

I don't know why but these BMW always caught my eye. One thing I'm not quite sure if I would be able to take it is maintenance. What's maintenance like on your BMW? Do you have to "keep" an eye more regularly than other car or is it ok?

@@abelagostinho The only problem I have are vanos solenoids (not confirmed but most likely or it could be some plastic) rattle at 800rpm, haven't loss any performance it has been doing that for 4 years, other then that car is reliable average fuel consumption is 7-8l/100km (combined city and open roads), just do regular maintenance and that's it, my car has done 250k km and honestly it looks like it done way less.... Only thing to keep eye when you are buying is rust, it is common on e46 on fenders.
