I owned an 01 F350 SD Lariat 4×4 in 2004. I was 25, and I sacrificed so much to own that stupid truck. I didn't need it, had absolutely no use for a Super Duty and very very little use for a 4×4. It was status. At work everyone was jealous and that is why I got it. Never would have admitted that back then. Probably not even to myself. After 2 years of giving up all of my spare cash to own that thing i finally gave up and sold it, and used the money i would've spent on 2 truck payments to buy a whole ass 96 Civic DX coupe in cash. My quality of life went through the roof, and i felt rich all of a sudden now that I didn't have to pay for that truck and full coverage insurance on it. And fuel for it. That was a hard lesson learned, and I'm glad i learned it fairly early in life.

European kid here, Im 20 and I got a nice hyundai sedan. I always loved this type of trucks as a kid since my father had 2 or so when I was little. More than once I thought about getting one, but in Europe its even more expensive to have one of these. With the price of gas and the price of parts and second hand trucks... I really cant afford one of those at all. I'll stick to being a truck driver tho, getting my license soon for those big machines 👍

@@speedm3t Same thing mate here, European and 19 yrs old. I have Touareg 3.0 TDI 2007. It's litearlly a beast of a SUV with off road tyres. My father put on a matte black color on and now it really looks like an uncercover police car with fully tinted windows. Owning this car is just amazing and would never sell even it is like 16-17 years old car, it's a tank. MPG is from 12 to 18 liters per 100km but it's worth it knowing you can easily survive a crash if it happnes. Weight, about 2300 kg in SUV vs normal European car in a crash or similar, I would put money on Touareg easily. It can be pain in the ass sometimes because of the maintenance, fuel and etc but again, would go on a world cross adventure in this car no problem. Enough to said that the Touareg towed a 747 JET which is like 200 ton plane. Perfect combination of everything, luxury inside and rugged outside. Ideal of trips, adventures, overlanding and off roading. Not hardcore off road but it took me to places where even people on foot would have problems. Planning to make a handmade bullbar up front and putting hook on back for that extra saftey and I have a tyre also on the back. Overall great car based on that I am located in Europe. Mine has 113 xxx km on dash and that is quite rare. Checked that on Carvertical and like 3 official VW mechanics and all of them told me the millage is original and I am very happy about that. 🤙
