I love how Ford put the oil pressure switch right up against the power steering pump bracket! Getting a socket on is a pain.

My wire isnt black its like a gold yellowish color should i be concerned about that?

No. Just connect it back the way it's supposed to go after you replace it.

What does the switch do. Mine gauge started jump then stall going home and small chirping. Will this caused truck to die

My truck would not die or make any abnormal noises. The gauge would drop all the way to the bottom, would random go back up and back down.
