The same way you take off the 2 door coupe is the same on a 4 door sedan. Basically same install..
Also I installed coaxial speakers not components. Make sure you disconnect the dash tweeters from the car. Very easy to do so. Take a flat head crew driver and push in the middle of the tweeter and pry up. Should just pop right up. Next pull the speaker out fish the wire out a little and unplug.

[][] FYI : Update 6 - 20 - 2013 [][] This is abustly pointless & a waist of money unless your doing the whole car. If your adding Dynamat for better sound and keeping rattle down a little goes a long way see my 8th gen video. If you want your door to be air tight like a bank vault and you plan on doing the rest of your vehicle then by all means go buck wild! I know Dynamt will love you for it. Yeah it made it cabin of the car seem more quiet but the sound would just come threw the floor. Really if your not putting in high end component set and adding a amp this is over kill, it's also the, "proper way" acording to Dynamat and anyone else banking off this stuff. Which is a great product I'm not knockin it. Just be smart and use it where you need it.

This video gave me some idea what I was dealing with before I tried putting the insulation on. I actually used an off brand that was 20 bucks for 12 sq ft on amazon, highly recommended for the price. My takeaway: 1. Less is more. This stuff is great but it's just vibration damper. If you're only doing door trim, adding more will be subject to diminishing returns VERY quickly. 80/20 principle guys. Unless you pull the carpet, dashboard, etc and mat the WHOLE INTERIOR you are not going to reduce noise much. You're aiming to reduce trim vibrations here, not road or wind or engine noise. 2. Use a rubberized spray like plasti dip on the back of the door trim itself and maybe even the outer door panel. Far cheaper than dynamat and having that rubbery plastic coating will help to ensure there aren't any problem areas once it's all screwed back in. 3. If you're doing rear speakers as well, get some mat around them! The shelf those speakers mount to is cheap and vibrates around like crazy, don't overlook this area.

[ DJBoyToy ] - It sounds super clean and crisp clean. The JL Audio speakers alone really stand out & it's twice the bass. Keep in mind with no amp on the 4 speakers. The road noise did quiet down a lot but you could hear it threw the floor boards a lot more.

nice,i just did my car on all doors.the only draw back is if the regulators or motors or door handle mess up its gonna be a nightmare trying to replace it with all that deadner in the way lol

Also I should note that I think I might have went a little over kill on the doors. Honestly I think I could have gotten a way with 1x1 sq foot just around the speaker to keep the rattle down and make it for sound quality but it sure did make the car quite driving down the street.

Well done this a project I have for my 2002 Honda Accord coupe. would you suggest doing a component speaker in the front and replacing the tweeter in the dash?

Thank you. If you did put component set in I wouldn't use the dash location because of sound imagining would be terrible. You are going to want that tweeter close as possible to the mid-bass driver.

Well that Honda had 200,000 miles on it and had not one problem. Honda's don't typically have such problems unlike say GM and Ford products. But in the unlikely event it did happen you would just take a heat gun and pull or cut out the area.

Dynamt actually kills in the bass in the doors. These are 6.5" speakers. I recently bought a 2014 Civic and I only needed a 10"x10" square piece behind be speaker and around the mounting area is all I needed. This shit is stupid and very costly DO NOT SPEND THIS MUCH TIME DONING THIS!!!!

+Mrpdids1 Also doing this would make it hard to fix the window if it ever broke. I was thinking of just putting some strips around the door and the back sheet behind to window to add weight to the door and reduce road vibration. You think that would work best? I have this rattle in my panel that been bugging me like crazy
