It's going to be a task, to put it mildly. I lack the words to put out how much that phrase resonates with me. Being the only '99 Sportage user/fixer myself, with some years of experience driving, but not much knowledge about the mechanics of this kind of vehicle I get a sense of what "a task" must be comprised of.

The hardline replacement is likely to be aggravating, but over all it has proven to be fairly easy to work on.

water pump is connected to timing belt and itd be a combination of bad fan clutch, coolant gunk in the motor and potential head gasket issues

Changed the fan belt. I'm hoping it was the fan slipping, cause it wasn't over heating at higher rpms. The timing belt and water pump was changed right before I got it at 20k miles ago. Thank you for the suggestions.
