I highly recommend the Dunlop 606. As a former motocross rider I’ve learned that getting the power to hookup is your main priority when riding off road. Happy trails!

Had a gen 2 for quite a while, great bikes! Only bad thing is they look like dirt bikes, but are honestly more suited to pavement, gravel roads, and hard packed dry trails. If you ever get one in deep sand or mud you will quickly realize that they aren't in their element. And they are friggin heavy to drag out!

UGHHHH...15:35...lift and swing the light end of the tree, the butt end is cantilevered over a pivot point which will also be in your benefit, it will make the top even easier to lift and swing! Come on guys! And while i'm ranting....why did you not save that perfectly good flat board you found for your kickstand? You could have used it the whole rest of the trip!!!!

Dr650 will run circles around both of those bikes on trails like that.the fact that you have to stop and think about a little mud hole then get stuck in it tells me I want nothing to do with a klr.I would have hit that crap wide without thinking twice about it.as for the log in the trail,roll up to it and blip the throttle and the Dr will be on the other side of it.thats what 11 inches of suspension travel and a foot or so of ground clearance is for.whats it weight with all the luggage on it about 900lbs? that ride didn't look fun at all, looked like more work pushing bikes and pulling logs than anything else.those bikes look better suited for pavement and an occasional dirt road here and there.did I hear him say please start?why would you ever venture way out in the woods on a bike that might not start?

Lol, the klr is a heavy bastard of a bike for sure. My 99 is an old tired bike that I had only owned for about a month at the time of this video. We are also novice riders. My buddy's 22 klr wheighs as much as a Harley it seems. So I agree, the Dr is a much lighter more nimble trail bike for sure, we pushed the limits of what a klr can do. They are definatly intended for no more then gravle roads in my opinion, but its still fun to take them out and push the boundary of what they are capable of. I am on the hunt for a dr400 for my trail rideing adventures lol.
