The Dancing Waters show at the DL Hotel was a nice relaxing end to a full day at the park. It made a return to the hotel a nice end to the days' activities, providing one made a required pilgrimage to the Monorail Cafe for a day-ending snack.

Every time anything changes at the DLR, especially this much, I give a big sigh for the history that was once there. But it changes, to paraphrase Walt. 6 years later I was swimming in this pool, there for the 50th!!

So thankful i was lucky enough to be able to take my kids to DLR in 2001, and stay in the hotel so the kids could get a chance to enjoy the Neverland pool. I only wish I’d gotten good video of the whole thing. Thanks for sharing this!

Huge mistake. I'd take the Marina, underwater arcade, R/C boats, and waterfalls over this pool without a single doubt.

Is the tongaroa terrace/trader sams building a hold over from the old marina? Seems to be spared in this footage.

In a way I think it is. It was an integral restaurant (I can’t remember the name; ships inn?) with the wine cellar below it. That’s gone, and the restaurant above was redone and split into the terrace and bar. They’re using the cellar for storage.

The beginning of the end. Heralding another era. Less relaxing, more commercial. If I could turn back time. ;).
