@@ubiased23 Engine is absolutely rock solid. The electronics of the car however... The mechanical parts are extremely well built, but the interior, if it looks nice, isn't of the best quality. What really stands out is how smooth and strong the V6 feels (it will get you to 250km/h easily with minimal drama), and the handling is superb (it's a GT, so not too sharp but very stable at any speed and very precise). Braking is amazing, up to par with modern cars (brembo came standard).

I still have that , 2.2 hdi, grey color . That red color I like more, but most I like blue color, I see sometimes blue in my city driving. Too bad people hit it, mostly shit drivers. Once was hit while I was driving. At least I got almost 400 eur from insurance. I dont remember myself hitting it, always other people. I wish there was much bigger penalties for hit and runs. Also people think I am poor when driving 2002 year car. But if I manage to save it longer, like 10 more years, then they should envy me. Too bad there is small rust. And getting parts for fixing is harder. Ttats probably for all old and especially sports cars.

I bought the 2.0 liter variant in 2016 as my first car and I never want to sell it ! The engine has been impossibly reliable ! I used to redline in on every drive in the first years and not a single thing has failed ! (relugar maintenance also helps) Biggest fault of this car is the too soft suspension and the terrible fuel consumption (city 12.5l/100km - highway 8.5l/100km) even when driven lightly... The steering feels great, it's actually quite communicative and you get a sens for what the front tires are doing. I'm definitely keeping this car and passing it onto my kids !

I had the 2 litre around 1999. Nice car, handled fairly well, but not quite as fast as it looked. Worst issue was the rear window leaked, clearly due to a factory installation issue (there was glue missing in the top corner) but Peugeot refused to entertain any sort of warranty claim, and the dealer wanted the thick end of £1000 to break the window out and replace it (apparently that's how it had to be done). Since the car totally filled up with water until I removed the drain plugs in the floor, it detracted significantly from the car's appeal. Therefore it ended up being one of the cars I owned for the least time. Pity, spoiling the ship for (literally, almost) a ha'porth of tar.

Haha, we also had a 406 Coupé and the rear screen smashed to thousands of pieces three times - every time you turned on the rear heater in the winter. Eventually they had it sorted out, but when opening the rear windows, pieces of glass would still fall out of the opening mechanism in the c-pillar. Anyways, an amazing car!
