1999 Plymouth Voyager / Grand Caravan Water Pump & Belt Replacement

How to replace water pump and serpentine belt on a grand caravan or plymouth voyager.

Hey so are the hoses behind that pump attached to the block? My hose is leaking. Not the big one, but the smaller one that is on the top of the pump. I can't seem to find a new port for it. what part is that?

*update* There is a metal nipple attached to the water pump mount (which is connected to the entire timing belt cover) so what I did to fix it was get JB weld putty, shaped a little donut with it and placed it over the nipple port that was missing and stuck the hose on that. Then applied more putty around the outside of the house. 2,000 miles later still holds up.

If you have a good belt it is a good idea to pull it out and store it in a clean safe place. you dont want to get grease all over it

Dont you have to make sure timing marks are lined up on cam?

On the water pump, there is nothing to line up. The internal timing chain keeps everything in sync when external belt is removed so nothing to worry about lining up but bolt holes :) thanks for watching!

You have a 2.4 engine like me , it's nothing like this. We have to remove the harmonic balancer, timing belt and both other belts
