It's funny how Vince is just as much of an insane egomaniac clueless douche as Russo and bishof..he was just lucky the talent were able to carry the business in spite of him, which WCW pulled off for a bit until it just got absorbed by the black hole of their egos taking over the entire show. Paul Heyman is like the rare exception of a owner that seems like a genuine person and not a cartoonish scumbag

I've literally never watched a single wrestling match but am so captivated by the story telling on this channel that I've binge watched an insane amount of content. Watching Jack's videos feels like having a few drinks and then listening to a friend explain random matches they remember from childhood.

@Syko I'm honestly fascinated by the behind the scenes stories and peeking behind the curtain. I'm a Canadian and have heard the names Hart, Jericho and Benoit...but to actually see the creation of some of these legends is incredible. And of course this channel is really respectful in the way they've covered some of the heavier topics like Chris Benoit or Jake the Snake.
@syko26952 жыл бұрын
@Megan Shepheard Yeah I wasn't really referring to that... Great American Bash 2004 had someone being kayfabe killed via cement drowning. It's not exactly an easy subject to explain to someone that hasn't watched the programmes lol

@Syko Yeah sorry I didn't really answer you lol. Honestly that's the kind of stuff I remember hearing about. I always assumed pro wrestling was a bunch of insane stunts like the cement burial haha. I think a big part of why WCW fumbled with Bret was their extremely crowded main event scene at the time. You had guys who were contractually obligated to be main eventers (Hogan, Nash), tenured company veterans who earned their main eventer status (DDP, Sting), and the steamrolling phenomenon that got over organically in Goldberg. With so many guys vying for main event spots, Bret just seemed like the odd man out among them.
@woobgamer52102 жыл бұрын
The best way they could've booked Bret was as a true anti-authority, anti-rebel figure. Screw the NWO, screw Bishoof, screw WCW, Bret just needs to look after himself. Which would then ally himself with Sting, the lone wolf of WCW when the NWO took over. Help Sting fight the NWO, ambush Bishoff with Sting, tag team with Sting. That would've been so damn cool.
@burntvirtue2 жыл бұрын
A GOOD wrestling company/booker would find a way around that through compelling stories, or intelligent booking choices.

I don't think would have done it .so honestly I think it's Petty that no one can sit and talk abouthim about how great of a wrestler he was. Again I know it was a terrible tragedy but sometimes we forget that it was tragic what happened to him too. The man worked his ass off and gave his entire body and brain just to entertain us and because of it a terrible tragedy happened. I just think it's wrong that we can't talk about him and his body of work and his contributions to wrestling especially since he's sacrificed so much
