@Syko I'm honestly fascinated by the behind the scenes stories and peeking behind the curtain. I'm a Canadian and have heard the names Hart, Jericho and Benoit...but to actually see the creation of some of these legends is incredible. And of course this channel is really respectful in the way they've covered some of the heavier topics like Chris Benoit or Jake the Snake.

@Syko Yeah sorry I didn't really answer you lol. Honestly that's the kind of stuff I remember hearing about. I always assumed pro wrestling was a bunch of insane stunts like the cement burial haha. I think a big part of why WCW fumbled with Bret was their extremely crowded main event scene at the time. You had guys who were contractually obligated to be main eventers (Hogan, Nash), tenured company veterans who earned their main eventer status (DDP, Sting), and the steamrolling phenomenon that got over organically in Goldberg. With so many guys vying for main event spots, Bret just seemed like the odd man out among them.
@woobgamer5210
@woobgamer5210 Жыл бұрын
The best way they could've booked Bret was as a true anti-authority, anti-rebel figure. Screw the NWO, screw Bishoof, screw WCW, Bret just needs to look after himself. Which would then ally himself with Sting, the lone wolf of WCW when the NWO took over. Help Sting fight the NWO, ambush Bishoff with Sting, tag team with Sting. That would've been so damn cool.

Great video I love these! On a side note though I just want to say I'm not here to argue I'm not here to talk this or that I just want to say that I think we forget when it comes to Chris Benoit that yes he did that terrible thing but he also had CTE along with other brain injuries and whatnot from wrestling so if he didn't have all those things wrong with him , would he have have killed his wife and son? I don't think would have done it .so honestly I think it's Petty that no one can sit and talk abouthim about how great of a wrestler he was. Again I know it was a terrible tragedy but sometimes we forget that it was tragic what happened to him too. The man worked his ass off and gave his entire body and brain just to entertain us and because of it a terrible tragedy happened. I just think it's wrong that we can't talk about him and his body of work and his contributions to wrestling especially since he's sacrificed so much

We do have Polos in the US, they’re called Life Savers. Fun fact, Rowntree’s manufactured Life Savers under license during WWII because they were so popular with US troops. When they lost the license after the war they just changed the name to Polos and kept making them.

WCW creating a wrestler named "Asia", is kinda like if they started booking a wrestler name "Quadruple-H".

Disco’s version of the Stunner was called the “Chartbuster,” I believe he started using it in late ‘98/early ‘99 so there’s no question he was ripping off Stone Cold. I guess it’s better than his previous finisher, a plain vanilla sit-out piledriver.

Norman Smiley was trained by the Malenkos and wrestled in the Japanese UWF. I suspect he could have taken most of the roster in a shoot fight. Not Haku, obviously. Haku is 64, so he's probably only 50/50 to beat a lion at this point.

So we are now at the point were The Misfits are called Goth . OK !! Sure why not ! lol ! Now days I guess it dont matter . I can see why . So many different genres of punk and metal . Like " No thats not Swedish black symphonic Metal ! Thats Norwegian jazz electronic black metal ! " No , thats not a genre (i dont think ?) .
