you can use a 1984-2004 Single Din kit for Toyota made by IMC AUDIO, Part number I-TOY-K8004P

Is removing the blue wire necessary? I'm having a no audio issue and my understanding was the harness was direct plug and play to replace the factory Amp and my Amp wire (blue/white) was unused and capped.

blue/white wire is for aftermarket amps, its a turn on signal for aftermarket amps

Hey any idea what color the Illumination wire color is on the original 4runner harness?

Gray, Test and connect at your own risk. you can test by switching the lights on and off. it should work with your headlight switch.
