I agree with you, but another element may be that they kept her in jail for 4 days without her meds. I know from experience that it can take weeks before you can see a dr and get meds in jail.That could have caused some kind of psychotic break. Just a thought. I'm sure anyone paying attention can see our entire societal infrastructure crumbling before our eyes ... Well, our judicial system is part of our societal structure, too. Regrettably, we must roll back most of the previously implemented criminal justice reforms until we're ready financially, politically, and culturally. We are nowhere near ready.

Don't be surprised that she had a warrant, had an encounter with law enforcement and was still walking the streets. As a security contractor I once apprehended someone at a location I was working for shoplifting. Police responded after they were called, took the person into custody, and let him go without taking him to jail. He had felony warrants that were active on the day that I detained him. This is what happens when people don't do their jobs! This monster should not have been on the streets! Had people done their jobs, she would have been in jail and not out killing people! The judicial system failed that family!

Could it be that she went days without medication? I seen a woman screaming at strangers unintelligibly while following them and the mail woman near by said. "She must be out of medication. She's completely friendly and normal when she has it." There's a lot of mentally ill people in the streets now and it's only going to get worse. My sister had to quit a well paying bus driving job in Texas because of her interactions with the mentally ill. It was pretty dangerous. Especially for a woman by herself.
