this is the F/A variant, i consider it perfect for sky police patrol duty due to low flying cost and maintenance, plus the modern avionics, even if it's not supersonic, it's capable to keep up speed and momentum with high energy left after brutal G maneuver, transonic capabilities are more than enough considering modern warfare scenario enemies.

so how many dollars per hour is low?!? what are you comparing it to?

@@sibbolo9204you are mixing things. mb345 comes from s-211. mb346 comes from a joint venture with russian yakolev, it's a blank sheet airplane.

Nobody said that this multirole fighter costs 20M dollars while a Tejas Mk2 costs 77M or a Gripen 61M. For most uses this aircraft is more than suitable, especially in today's operational scenarios. For the cost of a Gripen you can buy 3 of these little toys, but with state-of-the-art avionics and much more advanced construction materials.

C'è un modo di sapere quando questo aereo con questa specifica livrea si esibirà di nuovo e dove? Mi piacerebbe poterla vedere dal vivo.

Are the Austrians buying this jet ? How many ? And as a trainer or combat aircraft ❓🇦🇹
@billybobjohn89554 ай бұрын
It's italian, they know how to make look anything nice. Yet the looks isn't the purpose of a jet trainer, two engines will make maintenance costs rise and it's subsonic, whereas a jet trainer's main aim should be the preparation of the pilot to supersonic speeds while remaining cost efficient. Of course, this is only my opinion and I'm nobody.
@spidertube794 ай бұрын
Officially it is subsonic, but it can break the sound barrier.

@@rick3914 to tell a "partial truth". The M/T-346 is a joint development between Italy (Aermacchi) and Russia (Yakovlev), and Italy definitely had already experience in building jets and especially trainer jets, so I wouldn't call the M-346 a purely Russian product.
