Very Helpful. Just replaced the handle on a 98 Accord. It was a difficult to get the lock separated from the handle and door. Removing the retainer clip was the hardest part. It's not part of this video, but it was on the 98 Accord.

Helpful video. Only issue I had with my '94 Accord was the orientation of the white plastic "teeter-totter" shown at the seven minute mark. I installed it as shown but upon reassembly the key wouldn't operate the outside lock. It was in a bind and couldn't be turned either way. I reversed the two connections so the metal rod coming up to the teeter-totter from below was towards the rear of the door and the short white rod going up to the door handle was towards the front. Everything worked properly after that.

@Darkmand8 You may want to recheck your connections to the actuator and also the door handle to see if anything was connected the wrong way. Hope this helps.

If the other screw is still attached you should be able to match it up at your local auto parts store.

You may want to remove the door panel to see if something has broken off of the lock from inside of the door.

Video was great! I took off the door panel without breaking unseen clips. Almost broke the clip to remove the inside handle though, I took another look at the video and did it correctly. The outside door handle was loose because a screw was missing. I was hoping it was inside the door panel, and unfortunately it was not. How can I find what type/size screw it is?

any chance you can explain how the 99 is different? i got it all apart, and back together - but i can't get the lock itself to stay inside the tube...any pressure from the outside pushes it out. it's like that retaining clip isn't doing anything...and no matter how hard i press - no click.

after i fix the lock actuator; there's another problem. When i try to pull the handle from the outside it automatically the lock button goes back in. can you tell me whats wrong or is it the handle? I can open from the inside but i have to hold it all the way to push the door out.

So I went to your website to purchase the door handle but your site didn't have any. You did have the interior door handle, but not the exterior one. 😭

I did everything and got to the part where I have to put the clip on the attach the wire harness and new lock together. On the wire harness' arm, there is a little bulge that would usually fit between the old lock but my new lock doesn't allow that bulge to get any further so now my new lock and harness won't connect. So I guess I gotta buy a different lock.....
