Helpful video! If you find you can't get all 4 rusted bolts off of the plastic gas tank cover, keep in mind that you might be able go straight to the strap removal, and the straps and plastic cover can separate from the tank together. Just be sure to support the tank.

Great! I was just driving down the road and heard a unsettling noise, my tank strap on my 2010 Toyota Tacoma broke and was banging up against my drive shaft, sigh...🙄 Apparently I don't have that plastic cover though, Great video, thanks!

What size are the nuts that holds the plastic cover up….i know it takes a 12mm socket I was gonna go ahead & pick up 4 stainless steel nuts & bolts before I start

I can not put the tank cover back...the holes do not align with the bolts and the shield does not bend enough.. what to do?

The owner probably put that ratchet strap there. Ive got a used 2007 tundra and i noticed last week the fuel tank was hanging low in the rear. Busted tank strap. Ill be doing this later this morning.

I would not put the old nuts back on why put 2 new and 2 old there about .98 cents
