This video shows you how to install new front lower control arms with ball joint on your 2012-2017 Toyota Camry. Control arms are a crucial part of the suspension system of your vehicle. They not only carry the load of the vehicle to the wheel, but they typically also maintain its alignment. Control arms are typically large and strong, so you may be surprised it needs replacing. Do you know if this is the same procedure for a hybrid Camry? I just had a shop quote me $900 to change out both LCAs! They said the manual quoted a 6 hour job. I can’t believe it….i can do it myself in less than 6 hours. Shop said something about the hybrid system being a part of the cost but I’m scratching my head on that. It’s not even a factor for the right LCA. Left LCA looks like same deal with motor mount.

Great video, thank you so much! To prevent detaching the axel/knuckle, would it be possible to detach the ball joint from the old control arm (leaving ball joint attached to knuckle) before removing the arm, then remove the arm (without the ball joint), then finally remove ball joint from knuckle? Do the same backwards to install new arm; ball joint to knuckle first, then the control arm, then attach ball joint to control arm? Thanks again.
