Why aren’t you using the Ford recommended yellow coolant?

I was wondering where the drain was at. Video very helpful. Thanks

I've been watching videos about doing this and lord behold you guys drop a video! Awesome!

I would assume before draining radiator you should open the ventilation controls to the "hot" position, to let the heater-core drain coolant out so the system is as empty as possible before the flushing procedure is done . Just my opinion.. Good video though..

The number of times I've removed the 'funnel' without squeezing the pipe and then wiping up the spilled coolant is embarrassing. A simple recommended fix that never entered my mind.

No radiator cap. I have a 2012 F150 5.0. I don’t see a radiator cap. If I don’t have one, how would I do this?

Same here…don’t see cap to drain . Any ideas ?

You have to rely on the overflow tank it works fine.

On my 2012 F-150 Lariat 4x4 5.0, I recently replaced the heater core hoses, radiator upper & lower hoses, thermostat housing, purge valve, coolant hose and added 2 gallon of anti-freeze. I noticed a difference in the way the gears are changing, and it’s driving or riding better. By making all these changes, can it really help the truck to run better?

Just drain it and buy pre mix. There's no point in trying to guesstimate. And it's worth it not risking damaging the engine.

Lol what. How hard is half n half?????

Good video man. It cured my problems

It’s not hard to mix guys. Just buy a 1 gallon jug of distilled water and mix it with a 1 gallon jug of coolant. Then you spend half the money. Not that hard of a concept.

What if there is no radiator cap?

Excellent video I learned a lot thanks . Coolant funnel an aid in doing it right . Would it be ok to add radiator cleaner to system with water ( after draining system) and then run system with cleaner to get a good flush job?

Does this also flush out the overflow?

The year models mentioned in the title are incorrect and tbe wrong coolant was used.

When you drain the radiator you pretty much only drain half the system. How do you drain the whole system? My other comment is why not do a video that has the coolant system the 5.0 uses which has NO radiator cap on the radiator.

My 2013 f150 3.5 eco boost doesn’t have a radiator cap. So now what?
@jasoncharles698013 күн бұрын
Ford stopped putting that motor in the F150 in 2010. This does not apply to F150s 2011 - 2014, those engines were the ecoboost and 5.0 V8.

No, if you have more than 100k miles/12 years old, don't flush your rust holes clear in the radiator. Just drain and refill it.

Ford coolant should be either orange or the newest yellow.

Does it matter what engine the F150 has where the drain will be?
