It’s probably better to take the air box piping off so you can slide the fuse box farther back for more room

Pop the plastic guards in wheel wells to line up bottom mount slots with fan tabs.

I have 5.0L 2012 the part says it fits, I’ve had this issue for about 4-5 months, no over heating indicator on the dash, but when I run 75 for about a hour to work I smell something burnt, the antifreeze/coolant I have to put in my box probably every 2 days or so, no leaking from what I can see, and I hear a loud fan noise under the hood for a few minutes then it goes back to normal then comes back on and repeat. As a mechanic without looking at my truck would you say it’s a good chance that this fan is my problem? I was going to replace the thermostat but I don’t think that would cause the fan noise. I just don’t want to spend money on parts that aren’t the problem with this economy lol the truck has about 245k miles on it and as far as I know the radiator parts haven’t been changed

I would be a little mad if that was my truck. That fuse box wiring was definitely pulled and yanked around like it stole something haha but Disconnecting battery gives you a little room. Also I thought mixing coolant (green and orange) can cause issues or is that just ford talking.

I don’t know about F150 but I have 2007 and 2011 Lincoln Navigator with the same engine size 5.4 but 2007-2009 has clutch fan, 2010-2017 has electric cooling fan like this f150. Check your engine, if it doesn’t have clutch fan, then you have electric cooling fan.
