David was so smart and always so honest in interviews. He was great and always will be. Always.

This is so sad to listen to. David was used by greedy people. He deserved so much better in life. What a beautiful soul. He is sadly missed. Rest in peace dear David. I'll love you forever. Til we meet again. 💞🙏✌🌹

What I really admire about David is how he realised through his own maturity that he unwittingly was a victim in all that euphoria. He was able to analyse and relate without a trace of ego.The best thing is that he was a seriously talented young man with a fine unique voice and great personality to match.Sadly missed.

I’m guilty of being one of those teenyboppers who idolised him for his pretty face and sweet voice but as I got older I realised what a phenomenal talent he actually was. I still listen to his songs, his voice is truly wonderful.

David struggled all his life with that teen idol image, and as much as he resisted it, he couldn't escape it. later in his life he came to just accept whatever came along because he did still want to perform and the fact is his fan base remain loyal no matter what. We love him no matter what people labelled him. I think his biggest battle was with marketers not his fans.

Just only in this pandemic, I realised who DC was. I was borned in the PF era, so I never knew who he was, but had listened to his songs during my toddler years, as it was on TV. Too young to know about anything fan/idol. Now I listen to 70s music and discover gem David songs. RIP dear David. Your voice will never be replicated. Truly unique.

At the time, I had no idea what he sacrificed for us fans ... but we've never forgotten him and the music, which was the Soundtrack of our lives.

Thank you so very much for posting this interview. When I see his face, even still, I feel like the young girl I was so in love with him! I remember when I was a tween I had this poster up of David standing in front of the Partridge Family bus above my bed until the day I left home when I was 17 years old. Loved him then, love him now, will always love him. Now that I'm older I realize from all of these interviews how badly he was really exploited. God bless him, and may He rest in peace. Thank you for all of the wonderful memories I had, and I still do, and will carry them with me for the rest of my life. I love you, David!❤ I thank you again, Cherish David Cassidy Channel!❤

Such a kind, sweet soul abused by so many. It's comforting to know David did find some happiness through it all. But in listening to him, he had some deep regrets and unthinkable experiences that tarnished his journey. It's always going to be that way with the media unfortunately. They take a good thing and blow it so far out of proportion that it no longer looks good. Real people are destroyed with this tactic. Having said that, in the eyes of all his millions of dedicated fans, we will always consider David as the outstanding musician he dreamed of being and indeed was. David, in my eyes, succeeded as one of the world's most accomplished musicians. And still is, as we continue to keep his memory, music, and all his accomplishments alive and well. Sing loudly with heaven's angels David. Enjoy God's peace. I miss you every day!! 🐴🐎🎶🎼🎸💿📺🏖🌊🌈🙏❤👍❤👍❤👍❤👍❤👍❤💕

This is very sad to listen to. David was used and abused by so many. Until the end of his life for the media he was "The former teen idol" and this must have been very frustrating for him. He deserved so much better. It's so sad that he never got the credit he deserved for who he really was, a great musician with a fantastic voice. I hope his beautiful and sensitive soul is now in a better place 🌈💖.

David had such a lovely soft voice talking in this interview. But I do agree with Jill it’s sad he was used ,laughed and never taken serious. While he first enjoyed being an idol but it all took over his life and he had enough as he wanted to see him for who he was. But he deserved so much but sadly never got it. You were taken far too soon and I will always love and miss you forever 💖💖💖

I also was at his concert in 1974, Australia. I was in the audience, probably screaming my lungs out. I LOVE YOU, DAVID, and I believed it. It was so euphoric thrilling, and he was so f......g good looking, and his voice was young and exciting. Sorry darling.

What a great interview - so honest and insightful. The media is a tough, ruthless entity - David had to learn to find within himself the courage to carve his on path, and for the most part, he eventually did. But it must have been an almost unbearable task for him to learn to swim above his early, pigeonholed fame.

All I can say, is thank you David. I wish you wouldn't have had such a hard time of it. It would have been great if you could have kept it going, so that we would have more of the likenesses of you. It was absolutely great. I could never forget any of it. Again thank you.

Thank you so much for sharing. Poor sod, it was bitter sweet. I was one of his loyal teeny boppers and saw him at Wembley in '73. Just rediscovering him and all the stuff he did from the 80's onward for the first time and it's bloody wonderful! So sad for him feeling like a joke. He was a massive talent. Still love him but this time for what he really was 😍❤️❤️❤️😍

It’s almost that he was TOO good looking. People more interested in his looks than his music, which I think was great by the way. Sublime singing voice, great performer. But holy hell, hard not to love him! ♥️
