The Electricity Act,2003 does not prescribe format of financial statement ,so format of financial statement as prescribed by Companies Act ,2003 in schedule lll shall apply to electricity companies. So in a way only banking companies and insurance companies shall prepare their financial statement as per their respective governing statute.

Although electricity companies are governed by specific Act yet schedule lll of companies Act ,2013 is applicable because no format for financial statement is prescribed in specific Act governing electricity companies.
