I really need to put pavers down in my back yard , I’m nervous and don’t want to make a mistake. My yard is covered in gravel , should I remove all gravel first or can I lay pavers on top??

I'm a Mason I've done pavers many times I've always laid them in sand there can be gravel under the sand watch some KZbin videos on how to lay pavers you need to screed over the sand to make it flat there are videos that show how to do it
