These PFCs are good but they are quite expensive and hard to find to buy. We are also waiting for other advice related to power supplies and PFC.

Great. Why dont they use a synchronous rectifiers instead of 2 bridge rectifiers? Also when should one consider the use of a bridge less PFC ? is there a reason one designs in preferred over the other? Regarding the videos i would keep them under 30min ( can go a bit longer if it makes sense). and keep them 1-2 days apart so that the last one is still in ones mind.

Great Questions! Thanks for the recommendations. I think much over 1kW a bridge-less design makes sense. This is essentially synchronous rectification.

First, you are explaining as if it output a clean sinusoidal 390v, where as it is DC output. TI has a power supply for classD amps that has a PFC included. On Aliexpress there are a few 250w-400w for $30-$50.

Thanks for your feedback. Yes, this PFC converter pulls current from the line in a clean sinusoidal waveform - and in phase with the voltage (or nearly in phase). The output is DC and at a level that the converter is always boosting - whether it is 120 or 220VAC input. Can you provide a PN or link to this power supply that includes the PFC?

If it gets that hot it needs a fan , pc power supplies have effiency of 98% and also use fans
