Its funny, back in the 90's most American car cultured centered around straight line drag racing. And though i enjoyed it like everyone else. I fell in love with European supercars, which led to my love for track racing. And to then learn of America's own efforts in endurance racing thru the likes of Saleen and their Lemans running Mustangs, when it came time to purchase a car i went with a Saleen mustang. And talk about worlds apart from any normal factory mustang. Night and day doesn't do justice to what saleen did to the mustang driving dynamics. And the best part was that it didnt require the need for crazy power. Sure you could always opt for A Saleen with big HP. but even its entry level s281, running GT engines were out of this world. They were expensive. and most people didnt understand the justification. Mostly because they never drove the saleen. Figuring all it took was an aftermarket suspension kit and that was it. NAH.. not even close. A kit provides the tools but its the tune and balance dialed in, the stiffening of the chassis. and all that we well know today that transforms the car from 0 to hero. I loved my Saleen. @Deja Fastfingers Ra - That sound and high rpm wale is the flat plane crankshaft it sports and will run right up to 8,200 revs, which is pretty stout for any street car. The Corvette finally adapted this upgrade in performance several years later with the C8. Now I hear GM will cease Camaro production after 2024. Toyota will be out of NASCAR as they are discontinuing making any V8 engines. Ford will have to coax Dodge over to run again or otherwise NASCAR will become the Great Mustang Shootout! Well, it's only fitting that the car that started the 2dr muscle car war would be the last survivor!

Yea, that's cuzz it is medal on medal😂, it's an inherently flawed engine from the factory. It's quite literally self distructing itself from the inside out. 2 stroke engines have a longer lifespan than these ticking time bombs, hence why they are so easy to find on the used market with low mileage and for an almost to good to be true price. Seriously, they are shockingly cheap considering how expensive cars are today and there a valid reason for it, guaranteed engine failure and a warranty that will not cover the cost of replacement. But yeah it sounds like a death metal consert .This car is the equivalent to the lead guitarist, and at some point, he will smash his guitar and fall off the stage,
