I never realized before this video that Peter Noone had quite a range in his singing voice. This is the first time that I heard him sing with a deep voice. I listened to him and rest of his band in the 1960s. But, I shared my bedroom with my teenager sister and she liked The Beatles more. Peter Noone was extremely talented! Wow! Peter was well known in Briton before he formed Herman’s Hermits. He was a stage performer and it really shows in this great video. I always thought he began as the singer for Herman’s Hermits. A lot of his songs were English songs written a hundred years earlier. One special memory I have is sitting in the living room playing chords to I’m Henry the 8th I Am. My granny walked through the front door with my mom and my granny started singing the lyrics of the song. It blew me away that she know the lyrics to a current pop song, not knowing she used to sing it as a girl in England! I was also surprised I was playing guitar good enough for her to know what I was playing 😀. I wish there were cell phones back then. If I could see my granny singing that song again it would be priceless.

@@MovieMakingMan That's a wonderful story about your grandma. As a nurse whose looked after 000s of older people I always try to remind younger carers that no-one was born old: older people were once young like them. I didn't know that Peter Noone was a stage performer but it makes sense because, boy oh boy, does it ever show in this very long live set. I've always thought that, along with grand opera, musical theatre artists are best able to deliver live performances.

I've been waiting for this to come out for so many years now, so many thanks for posting this on KZbin 1st class. I have been a fan of Hermans Hermits ever since I heard their first record I'm into something good, and have stayed a fan ever since. Whilst the critics slatted them at every opportunity, they proved them all wrong, they even outsold the Beatles in the USA in 1965. No mean feat, considering the critics did not like them, so hopefully there are more film/video/TV clips out there, that can be shared in the same way, perhaps a copy of 'This is your life with peter Noone Plus they should be inducted into the rock'n roll hall of fame. They have sold over 80 million records surely that's a good enough reason . So once again many thanks for sharing this, steve vidler at Hermitno1
