At a military shcool i went to that technically did happen lol. The teachers in the classroom were completely seperate from the cadre (drill instructor) so in class one time, a kid threw a paper airplane acrossed the room so the teacher called a cadre(drill instructor) in and we all got IT'd

Glad everyone enjoyed it! I was the Senior in the video and it was very much a “devil pups boot camp day” all the kids featured were Children of Drill Instructors in 1st Battalion. They had a blast, they had their face painted either striping, blotching, or combination. They are MREs and ran a modified CFT. They had a blast and so did the parents!

Chris Serra OOHRAH!!! If I was one of those kids I would be heading to my quarter deck. Good personality and good camera skills. Steve Cannon. PI 3rd Herd Jan-April 1996. VMFA (AW) 224 Bengals Seat Shop. One of my NCOIC’s came off DI duty just before I checked into 224 and our Powerline NCOIC came off PI about the same time. Probably way before your time but good times. Probably not a lot of people admit this but PI and MCtlT was probably one of my best times in the Corps. For our company Motivation run before graduation, I broke formation and did about five laps around the moving formation. Grabbed the Guidon from the Battalion Commander and after my relay I passed guidon to Company Commander.

Most kids, especially these kids who asked their parents to sign them up, wanna be tough. They want to not be scared, because the world is often a scary place for a little kid, no matter how much parents want to protect them from it. Bullies, scary bugs, mean teachers, lots of homework, class presentations, and big dogs, they learn lots of new things every single day, and some of those things will be scary to them. What this does is build up their confidence and their courage, they'll think to themselves "I was tough enough to get through this, I can get through anything!" I think this is so important for kids, and having a safe, controlled environment like this, with breaks for niceness and fun, is great for strengthening their developing psyches. I can see how some people view this as a "recruiting tool" or "indoctrination", but I think of it as a valuable and effective learning experience which just happens to be tied to a military branch of service. Plus, it looks to me like a lot of the kids were genuinely having fun, and the ones that weren't could walk back to their parents at any time, take a look at it from the outside, and decide for themselves if they want to try again. Overall, a very positive environment, with good messages. "Are you kids scared?" "NO SIR!" "Cuz you're all tough, right?" "YES SIR!! 🥰

These are the type of kids that will seem all cute and cuddly but have the ability to perform special operations in a matter of moments.

Not gonna lie, when first saw that drill instructor round the corner all I could think was "oh god please dont unleash them on the babies". But they genuinely seemed like they had a good time, and like several of the comments said they didnt use their full power so my anxiety went away lol
