Nah, a lot of gymnasts focus on core exercises a lot since their main point is about balance, and most of these exercises, while required grip strength, also required a lot of core exercises. That's no problem for Ethan who's likely been working out and is familiar with core exercises.

along with what other people have said, a shit ton of gymnastics also has to do with coordination, which is just an innate skill that doesn’t go away no matter how out of shape you get (at least for women’s gymnastics in my experience, idk much about men’s). There isn’t one single focus of gymnastics, it’s a broad sport that requires nearly every kind of fitness (endurance, strength, coordination, etc) and a lot of it is a mental game
