The initial drugs she mentioned is a saline solution port flush. Today was my hook-up day. 3/09/15. I went through this in 2012, so i knew what to expect this time. Hook-up on Monday, refill on Tues. and disconnect on Wed. Every other week for 12 treatments. Be strong, Janni.

Wow... Im going in for genetic marker testing thursday and an oophorectomy on the 10th for a basketball sized tumor on my ovary. Ive have a high chance of cancer and terrified of it. Jessica Fulcher I do not mind answering these questions for you. :) I was 26 when I was diagnosed with Nodular Lymphocyte predominance Hodgkin Lymphoma type 2B. It is a very slow growing cancer and I had if for a couple of years not knowing that I had cancer. Completely understand how rare cancer is at our age. The type of cancer I had is definitely rare, but even more so my specific type of cancer was even more rare. So of 5% percent of people that have Hodgkin have my type and typically this forms in Men and not women. Specifically 4 to 1. Luckily I didn't have any pain, I had a weird lump about the size of a tennis ball under my arm next to my breast. It's a scary process and surgery is never fun. Ask questions to your doctors, e-mail them, fully study and try to understand your specific circumstance. The more you know about it the more power you will have over it. :)

I see this video is a few years old so I'm sure you've finished treatment by now, and I hope it went well! In case anyone else watches this before their first treatment, I suggest eating ice while getting the Adriamycin (the first red drug) push. I had the ABVD treatment in 2011 and ate ice at each infusion (I believe I had a total of 12) and I never had issues with mouth sores!

I have just finished my 3 rd chemo and I'm very happy to say that my blood tests show that my immune system is going awesome, if your having chemo it is important to eat high nutritionist foods, I get alot of this from fresh extracted juices, this removes the fiber and allows the nutrition to access the blood with no effort at all.

I went through 3 1/2 months of chemo I was never smiling, we did not have foot massages.. I dont know what kind she had the type I took made me deathly sick for months. Deep breaths, there are going to be lots of needles and it will get easier. Thankfully there are some pretty great numbing solutions to help ease you into the transition of being poked all the time. When the time comes, close your eyes, that is what I did! I really hope the best for you. :)
