1st Day In Jakarta, Indonesia AND THIS HAPPEND! 🇮🇩

Jakarta, Indonesia I’m so excited to finally be in Indonesia! 🌏 This country is known for its incredible diversity, with so many different cultures, languages, and traditions all coming together. From the moment I arrived, I was amazed by how friendly and welcoming the Indonesian people are. It didn’t take long for me to meet a local friend Hendi ‪@hendiisben‬ and together we set off to explore Jakarta!
We started by riding the commuter line to Kota Tua, Jakarta’s historical old town, where you can really feel the rich cultural heritage of the city. The mix of colonial architecture, street performers, and lively crowds gives Kota Tua such a unique atmosphere. It’s amazing how Jakarta blends the old with the new in such a vibrant way!
And of course, I couldn’t leave without diving into the street food scene. Indonesian street food is as diverse as the country itself, with flavors that reflect the many different cultures found across the islands. 🍢🍜 From savory snacks to sweet treats, everything I tried was packed with flavor-and the experience of eating like a local was just as exciting as the food itself!
Indonesia has already made such a great impression on me, and I can’t wait to explore more of this incredible country. The people, the culture, and the food have all been amazing so far!

The ethnic group "native" to Jakarta is Betawi which comes from the Dutch name Batavia which they called Jakarta. Upon independence the city was renamed to Jakarta based on the older name "Jayakarta" meaning "complete victory".
