1st Day of CCL Adjustments - SGTM Documentary

EDITED: I realise that I made a mistake with one part of the voiceover. I said that there is a "free shuttle bus" which is actually not true. The shuttle bus is an express service, BUT you would still need to pay for the service. I would believe that you would need to pay according to the MRT fares, and not the bus fares. Once again, I apologise for the voiceover mistake.

Welcome to the 1st ever Singapore Train Memories (SGTM) Documentary Series. This documentary series is created to take you through some events that happens in the MRT network, be it a small or big. There are quite a few documentary videos to expect in 2024!
In this video, I will be taking you through the 1st day of the Circle Line (CCL) Adjustments that took place from today (20 January 2024) until 24 May 2024. This adjustment is due to rail expansion works for the upcoming Circle Line Stage 6 which connects the existing HarbourFront tracks to the new Keppel station. CCL6 stations consists of Keppel, Cantonment and Prince Edward stations, and is slated to be opened by 2026.
To facilitate the works, all of the CCL trains ends at Labrador Park Platform B and there is a shuttle train that plys between Labrador Park and HarbourFront (using Platform A). Platform B of Telok Blangah and HarbourFront is closed for the works. Announcements and signages was made and put up to inform commuters of the Service Adjustment on CCL for the next 4 months.
So, enjoy some clips of the CCL adjustments (and even some joyrides and pictures), paired with some voiceovers. This took me a few hours to produce this documentary so I would appreciate if you could some support! :)
I know there is also Kent Ridge bound in this CCL adjustments. However, I filmed this video on a weekend which means no peak hour frequency. Hence, I will film the Kent Ridge bound videos on Monday (22/1/2024) instead. Stay tuned for that.

After CCL is over, then is EWL for Tanah Merah only! It is divided into three weekends as there are three worksites to connect it. Phase 1: at ITE College East Phase 2: at Bedok Road Phase 3: at Bedok North Road

I think the Kent Ridge Bound trains are from Marina Bay since train from Marina Bay will usually go through Stadium only during Peak Hours. So, to avoid congestion at Labrador Park Station, LTA or SMRT made the choice to divert some trains to end at Kent Ridge.

Also seems like commuters are not allowed to board the Marina Bay Bound trains from Kent Ridge since most are heading towards Harbourfront while one-north seems to be the starting point for travelling to Marina Bay
