Thought about buying those a couple weeks ago and making a video after i noticed no one else had 😂. Everyone really jumped on the greenish/ tan axis lock pretty quick last year. It was a good knife for the price.

Picked one up for a kid I work with today. He told me he didn't have any pocket knives and I was appalled. Every man needs a knife.

I got the Kershaw 3 pak assisted opening for $25 they are cool noticed they are stamped on the blades 2023promo got them in the local Walmart in the hunting section mid December Christmas promo

I grabbed one of each and kept the blue ring one. Loved the black flipper blade style better but gave it to my brother inlaw for Christmas. I also grabbed more and gave them away for Christmas gifts as well. The blue one I oiled up and it's smooth and feels great. I'm going to use it as my work beater or my truck knife. For $5 they aren't bad at all plus it looks pretty good overall.

I bought the one on the right. Nearly identical to my sencut scepter but it's slightly larger with a different lock and a flipper. Stiff unless loosened, but you get blade play. Worth the price.

Now I know where I had seen that flipper design before... its a lot like a Sencut sceptor!!

BRUH. The one without the blue pivot collar has been PLAGUED with the axis lock getting stuck on the inside of the flipper tab. I took mine apart and had to grind quite a bit of material out of that problem are to get it working right. It was a nightmare putting it back together. EVERYONE I've had an exchange with about it has reported the exact same problem. The blue pivot collar knife has the pivot overtightened to all hell on mine and every single other video I've seen. Loosening the pivot screw just a hair got it working perfectly, so I really like that one.

Damn I thought I was the only one. I don't think I'll do it. Not worth opening it for 5 dollars

Definitely not worth it. I did it because I was bored and I'm trying to learn how to work on my stuff. Don't get me wrong, I had some fun but disassembly and reassembly are a NIGHTMARE. Easily 20 minutes just getting the pivot screw back in place.

I went back to my local WM the other day and they had marked down the flipper model to $1... It may have been a customer return or some left over stock. Snagged it, now I have two. Both are plagued with the same thing... rough / crude / poorly made blade stock that grinds against the axis lock bar. I modded both by polishing this area with gray then with green compound. Now both are smooth opening, yet still have strong detent and solid lock up.

I got the flipper and it's extremely rough, I bought it to take apart anyways but it will take some good work to get smooth.

Some of the original Ozark Trail "Axis Lock" knives have special laser etching on the back of the blade (non show side) too!

Yea ive the exact same thing with mine. Blue collar one works pretty good out of box and the other one is pretty bad. You can feel it grinding when you get to the closing point. Also your video is the first one ive seen that mentions the reversible clip! I was pretty sure you Would mention it and was not proven wrong.

I got four two of each both stonewash where pretty ick and with minimal effort the one with the blue ring ran smoothly

My Walmart doesn’t have the blue pivot. That one looks nice and seems to have a decent action. I did find the other model but it’s pretty rough like yours. I may have to try and find The $15 pack it seems good supposedly that axis lock has the best action of the three. The other two models seem ok one is spring assisted and the other one is on bearings apparently.

I just got three blue pivot and one flipper. The flipper one is not as smooth. The blade stock surface is rough where the axis lock slides against. Both have pivot screws way too tight. They get smoother with break in too. happy with nine.

There is some more access lock knives you must have gone to wrong Walmart and there is some fixed plate as well and a few different access lock knives if you're not fast your last
