How often did you side out melodius engine? How was it going second? I see that you run accesscode so I'm guessing you are keeping it in some of the matchups for going second?

Never. I always kept it in. It's very strong going second because you have easy S:P access which can be chainblocked and as you said I easily link climbed into Accesscode. I even played Thrust to have more access to Ostinato if it gets negated haha so yeah pretty strong card.

Pendulumgraph cannot use its negate if your scales are full. You mentioned that you could but you couldn’t summon. That is incorrect - you cannot even active the effect if your scales are full.

Actually Apo also works haha I forgot that it negates the activation and not only the effect like Ash so my bad on this one. The reason why Veiler and Imperm can negate Bacha is because they negate the whole effect of Bacha meaning all of Bacha's effects including the effect that protects your Melodious fusion monster's effects from getting negated. Ash negates only the activated effect that would summon a Melodious from the deck so that's why the protection will apply and Ash will not negate that activated effect.

When you only open refrain what do you try to end on? Also wasnt pendulumgraph bad cus you either needed to chose to pop the scales to utilize his effect or just pend summon and give up on his effect?

Well depends on if you drew any Voiceless engine (even after the draw off the fusion spell) if not then you can end on Apo for 2 and Pendulumgraph. Sounds weak but if you didn't draw any Voiceless then you drew a lot of handtraps. It's really not that bad to pop your own scales because you can just add back 1 of the pendulums and having a spell negate is much better than keeping your scales imo. Yeah you don't get to summon out Vortex but that's not really the end of the world. Also your scales block your zones so if you wanna set up all the continuous spell/traps of voiceless you will have no room left for imperm or droplet so that's also one of the reasons to pop your own scales.

Pend summon the refrain in the extra deck after making beyond plus the searched pendulumgraph to the arrows of beyond. Use effect to target 2 cards on the field to pop. Pop your scales.

Also if you successfully use your pendulumgraph as a spell negate and put it in the pend zone, you can summon the vortex live for free.
