1st snowfall of season in Edmonton area leads to delays and collisions

The first snowfall of the season for much of central and southern Alberta early Monday morning had some roads and highways in poor condition.
In Edmonton, nearly 200 collisions were reported in the city. City crews were out spreading a mix of sand and salt, and this year the municipality said road crews will be focusing on areas that city council decided were “higher priority." Mason DePatie explains.

@@Tribuneoftheplebs Oh boy， if your in Alberta prepare to have snow always. Best option find a indoor skatepark. I usually only snowboard in winter. But since I am in Van, skateboard can be ok outside just not as fun regularly under the rain, once is cool regularly nada

Don't miss the snow here in BC. Usually don't get snow until late November early December and gone by the end of February. Absolutely love it!!!!! Used to live in Manitoba so I know what snow is all about and the cold too . Doesn't get very cold here either

HA!! Every Canadian eventually learns that you never drive on the first snow! We know a fair amount of people are driving on snow for the very first time. Then you got the summer speeders who haven't slowed down yet. It's like watching bumper cars at the fair! So yeah, I'll hide for 2 days, should be safe by then eh?😮😂
