Do you need a permit for the digital advertising or do you need the permit for the building structure of the billboard? Bkuz Texas law says you need a permit if your selling tangible/physical products...but a digital advertisement is not a tangible/physical object that is being sold... it's a digital image not physical???

Each structure will need a permit regardless if it is digital or static. You don’t need to charge sales tax since it’s not a tangible/physical product.

In most all cases you can't build on state property. I have heard of big companies coming into areas like Chicago and making a deal with the city to build a lot of boards on city property in exchange for the city getting a large percentage of the revenue.

@@uptoproofingdisastersoluti7218 In certain areas you can rent land from the railroad. They're pretty aggressive though. From my experience you can only get a 12 month land lease and they want a hefty percentage of revenue as well.
