I work in the automatic door industry and the same thing happens with parts. But there are 2 companies that "rebuild" all the circuit boards, is there anything like that in the sign business

As long as you have a solid land lease with no cancellation clause they can’t suddenly get rid of it.

A name brand manufacturer like Watchfire or Daktronics, for on premise signs, 10mm pixel pitch, minimum 5 year parts warranty, brightness of at least 7500 nits.

Can you insure a digital sign?

Yes, you can have insurance on a digital sign. If a truck runs out of the road and hits the sign the insurance policy would cover replacement. The manufacturer warranty would cover repairs.

@@alworkout6998 Yes, that's the main thing insurance is for. Natural events that might damage the board. I'd definitely get a insurance policy for that.

Hey, when selling permits and leases, what do I put for building permit application? I don't have workers comp info, materials, 3d drawings for the billboard if i plan to just sell the paperwork. What do you recommend?

Where I'm at you only need a building permit if you're building the structure. You can get a regular sign permit and the lease without a building permit.

@robert_wallace4107 Thanks for your reply. I just starting doing this recently but haven't had luck finding land yet except for a few. I assume you draw up a custom lease? Or you have an attorney do it?

@@justingarcia4523 Yes, a real estate attorney should have a lease template that you can adjust to your specific needs. I’d definitely get an attorney to look over everything before you sign it.

Yes, most of them have LED’s molded in a form without a way to service them. Just a replacement only part. I did find one guy in California that says he can repair them. If you can figure it out, lots of opportunity for sure
