It appears that Nissan has moved the Kicks from the Versa platform to the larger Sentra platform. And, Nissan has discontinued the Versa and Altima, leaving its only car offering as the Sentra. The new larger Kicks is an improvement over the last version and, like the Sentra, it's such a deal!

Most of the dealers in my area have gotten in a lot of S versions first and a few SV versions. SR's are taking longer to arrive. I was surprised at all the S Kicks. Maybe they think the SR won't sell as well with the higher price. I have yet to find an SR with a moon roof and few SR's period. I thought the moon roof would be a feature people would like and want. With the 2024 Kicks, dealers are copying other dealers and adding on all kinds of extras to up the price. I'm glad that wasn't happening when I purchased a 2023 SV Kicks. Neither the SV or SR back then had all kinds of add on's, just the floor mats and mud flaps, and I wish they'd given me a choice of what kind of floor mats I wanted. I ended up replacing the front carpeted floor mats and cargo area with Husky all weather mats, so the carpeted mats were a waste of my money. I've also added a tonneau cover to hide my groceries in the back when I go shopping. It was easy to install on my own, cheaper than the Nissan one, and it looks exactly the same. Thus far, I'm very happy with my Kicks. It gets outstanding gas mileage, better than Nissan advertises. I like the panoramic moon roof and 12-inch screen on the new Kicks, and the totally digital info screen. The analog speedometer takes up a lot of space, and I never use it. I always set the digital screen for the digital speedometer. The Kicks is comparable to the Corolla Cross, but with more tech features and fewer problems. Per NTSA, many Cross owners are having problems with the car dying out at traffic lights or on the expressway. It is also affected by air bags problems. So was the 2023 Kicks, but not my Kicks. It was not included in the recall. Thus far, all I've had to do are oil and filter changes and tire rotation. My sensors work beautifully (unlike on a lot of other brands, Honda included). Only time will tell about the CVT. But others report no CVT problems at much higher mileage than I have.

This looks like a solid redesign but it falls apart with that gauge cluster. Other automakers (chevy) can have a respectable looking 7 or 8 inch gauge cluster to go with the big 11 inch infotainment screen. This just cheapens the whole look of the interior (which minus the gauge cluster looks really good).
