Stronger engine with nearly similar economy, full leather seats with more luxury interior, rear vents, spare wheel standard, moon roof standard, heated seats as standard, rain sensing wipers as standard. The downside is the practicality and not having parking sensors and 360° round view, and there is no automatic rear brake assist or pro pilot assist hands on. It would cost $1950 extra to add heated seats and moon roof to the kicks which makes it more expensive when comparing the basic MSRP of the two. I would have rather got the Kicks but because it is brand new I was not going to get any discounts on it. In the end the Mazda won hands down after a $5000 dealer and incentives discount of MSRP. So many small CUVs are so inefficient in the deisgn. Maximize the car by making it more boxy. Stop with the curved tailgate. Heck a boxy car like the Bronco Sport looks significantly better. Then you have horrid powertrains. I owned a Honda Fit once and dont recommend ever getting a car under 180 hp again. Its not pleasant. Its insulting automakers still make such pathetic powertrains. I dont want any turbos or a CVT again either. Hope it jas good build quality and durability. My Honda Fit was so badly made and unreliable. Looking at that cheap carpet you mentioned kinda shows how low quality they whole car is. Cheap materials these days means no durable and poorly built. Then how does all this age? What to do when those fancy LEDs go out, all the safety tech, sensors, and cameras? It will be pricey to fix when its supposed to be a cheap affordable car. Cars are increasingly only for rich folks. Not a single reliable, cheap to run/maintain, durable car on offer in the United States it looks like. Im so incredibly bitter. Im only 23. There will be nothing for poorer folks to own in 20 years. @@HALWG51 Wow! Did I hurt your feelings sweetie? My comment was based on the fact that a Nissan CVTs have not been reliable. Just like they did with the Pathfinder, I was hoping they would continue to use conventional engine and improve their lackluster reliability. Let me give you a life lesson, don’t take small things like a comment personal. That is why they have a comment section, so people can give their opinion. It’s called 1st Amendment. Cheers…

Nissan, just develop a torque converted 8 speed already. This cvt is killing your sales. It's not the way to go. It's killing reliability. It's killing enthusiasm. This could have been a lot more peppy. Increase your cost by 1000 to 2000 with a better transmission and you'll still be profitable i imagine.

The industry is moving toward CVTs, not away from them. Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, Kia and GM have all introduced new CVTs replacing traditional automatics over the past decade and the trend is only ramping up.

I don’t understand the obsession of car brands with panoramic roofs, the heat is increasing all over the world and you get toasted with those things. The same applies to the leather seats.

i never use my lumbar support and im the only one that drives my car so why gripe about power seats. we want affordable cars but we want all the bells and whistles! seriously!

24:10 This is not correct, the '25 FWD Kicks SV is not available with alloy wheels, those are 17" steel wheels with "flex covers" on them. Only the AWD SV gets the 17" alloy wheels. Its another reason to go AWD, at least with the SV as you're getting AWD traction, a better rear suspension, and alloy instead of steel wheels.

Nice value prop, but honestly, I'd pay more for a car that doesn't have a hideous back end.

Nissan should've put the 1.5T I3 on the X-Trail E-Power on this, it would be a fun little SUV.

I really liked those led lights as everone says they are great, , i have a 2020 nissan sentra i went with the LEDs for headlights in the SR. Those automotive reviewers say their great, well i had a pice of 1' of 2" x 4" fly up and hit my headlight now $1267.00 I cant afford that at all. Guess i will be installing a flash light on the light as a fix. And call it done..😢😮😢

Carolla cross lokms like it was designed 10 years ago.. one of the most blah design ive seen in years This nissan is sharp . And so you know , your toyota cost 5 grand more than the sr kicks . You eould havto own that cross for 10 years to mske up the price difference in fuel savings
@joec17742 ай бұрын
I love this, but Alex, the Corolla Cross Hybrid is not $8,000 more than a $31K Kicks SV AWD. Comparing apples to apples, the top trim XSE Hybrid AWD with convenience pkg and accessories like floormats prices at $35,709 including destination. That's $4,500, nowhere near 8k.
@AAutoBuyersGuide2 ай бұрын
Base to base, the Corolla cross hybrid is $7,000 more than a Kicks S, and when you factor in the average discount the Kicks should be 8k less.
@joec17742 ай бұрын
@@AAutoBuyersGuide At best that's a stretch to make a point; it's just hitting showrooms so its hard to tell about the available discounts, and if we're comparing base to base it should be gas vs. gas, where the Toyota rings in at just over $25K. Again, nowhere near $7K. I'd definitely still buy a gas Kicks over the Corolla Cross gasser, just noting your comparisons are typically a little more apples-to-apples.

The point here is that the kicks is made for a price sensitive shopper while a Corolla Cross hybrid is not. The 2024 CCH is $28,220 vs the Kicks at $21,830. In our area the 2025 Kicks already has $750 off, but more critically we don’t have final 2025 pricing on the Toyota hitch which is expected to start around $29,000.
@joec17742 ай бұрын
@@AAutoBuyersGuide Fair, but if that's the point here the Kicks buyer is probably not cross-shopping a CCH to begin with, and is likely limiting to base powertrains.
@AAutoBuyersGuide2 ай бұрын
That was more or less our point, but this was to address the questions about “why doesn’t/didn’t Nissan put a hybrid in the Kicks” which is a frequent question. The answer is because it would have been more expensive and case in point: Corolla Cross Hybrid.
