I wrestled the third movement of Moonlight Sonata on piano for a looonng time. Tina S has not only mastered it on guitar, she has added complexity into even the most complex and difficult passages! The only thing I could think while she was playing was how astonished and thrilled Beethoven himself would be to hear her play it, and how inspired and driven he would be to write something for her and her guitar!

Tina S, is somewhat of a celebrity/enigma on KZbin & known generally among guitarists of most genres. One thing is for certain, she is undoubtedly at prodigy/genius level. Phrasing, timing, speed, dexterity & more importantly, as you observed, looks completely uninterested in playing what is obviously an incredibly complex composition. That's just her way.

This is an arrangement by Dr Viossy. This was apparently the last of the set of videos recorded by her teacher in 2016 when she was 17 years old. She's absolutely incredible. Name me only one guitarist who can play this piece, Moonlight Sonata, like this or better. In fact, there is a video that features both and Dr Viossy for you to check out, to prove my point. It's the closest you get, after all, it's his arrangement. Check out the remaining 13 covers that she did if you will. I like your reaction.

Check YT and other interpretations of the same by other guitarists, none comes close to her level of precision, just a fact. The other great thing about Tina is that her talent is more than enough to get millions of views and SHE does not need to show off her body to get clicks the others can only dream of. She just killed the game, she is the reference to guitar excellence. I wish she played hours of classical music on the electric guitar. I would then buy all her records.
@russmartin41895 ай бұрын
Tima's most viral is Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata. In any case, at this stage of her career, ( 7-8 YEARS AGO)she was the best of all time. Why? She played all the most difficult guitarist's work and did it as good or better, whereas they only did themselves. In addition she did Beethoven and Vivaldi. There was nobody who could match her. Today, she has a group, Spin Twice, and it does not showcase the prodigious talents she demonstrated here. Still, whatever she does, she deserves to be remembered for her work here. She still blows me away 7-8 years ago. The Mona Lisa is the greatest painting, and that was done over 500 years ago. I am hoping these videos are archived and able to be viewed 100 years from now.

Her vibrato is the way it is because as a toddler, she learned classical first. So that vibrato is like that of a violinist. She raps with her second, third AND fourth fingers. Most to Rick the pick in their pinky, but she keeps it where it is supposed to be and does the tapping with the other 3 fingers. Also from her finger picking as a classical guitarist when she was little. I don’t know of anyone better than her here. Even Mr. Lee did a reaction to her playing his, through the fire and the flames, and he was impressed. He asked her on his video to contact him and come play with them when they are in Europe. Her picking speed on that one is insane and she never seems to look tired.
@IA_Information_Paris5 ай бұрын
She refused the invitation of Herman LI, and Van Halen and Pink Floyd !!! She is sick in her head !!
@michaelgoyettemusic5 ай бұрын
I’m not a violin expert but I don’t think the vibrato is produced the same way as on guitar on account it has no frets. Plus vibrato on violin goes above and below the fundamental note whereas guitar vibrato is only sharp of the main pitch….if you ask me, that’s Zack Wylde vibrato all day. Having said that, the violin is probably why she took up electric guitar so quickly. ✌️

I had the chance to teach her the electric guitar from the age of 13 to 18, and I also filmed and produced all these videos at that time in my studio. I must say that she never disappointed me, what a prodigy she was... a small precision concerning this version, it is an arrangement made by the incredible Italian guitarist, Michele "Dr Viossy" Vioni, who was kind enough to let us use his version." Renaud "I made her work on a lot of pieces, but only a part was the subject of videos. On the other hand, everything that has been filmed is online. She's the first female guitarist to shatter my stereotype on "chicks shredding." Yea, perhaps naively sexist but when you see her also play Yngwie, Vai, and Becker with pretty modest accuracy before the age of 18, kinda humbles any sane guy. Despite just coming back to KZbin, she took a long hiatus, and many speculate it may have been attributed to the toxic side of KZbin, of a bunch of man-children either being perverts or outright insulting her playing if she missed a single note, as if these armchair guitarists could muster half her skill twice her age. She's a true guitar enthusiast gem.

Tina is absolutely a genius level prodigy. This was the last video she released for about six years until this last year when she released several songs with her band "Spin Twice". There is another young prodigy you should check out. She is Yoyoka Soma of Japan. At the age of 8 Yoyoka entered the contest "Hit Like a Girl" covering Led Zepplin's "Good Times Bad Times. She won that weeks contest receiving rave reviews from Robert Plant among others. At the age of 11 Yoyoka was named by the publication Drummers World to it's list of 500 greatest drummers, making Yoyoka the youngest person to be so honored. Also that year Yoyoka was awarded a visiting professorship to a Tokyo university. Yoyoka was lucky enough to be born into an extremely musical family and has been playing the drums since just after learning to crawl. Yoyoka turned 14 earlier this year. The following is her cover of ~ Tower of Power - What is Hip? / Drum Covered by YOYOKA ~ kzbin.info/www/bejne/Zqm3nIuQir51fNk Another mind blowing cover ~ Sting - Seven Days / Drum Covered by YOYOKA ~ kzbin.info/www/bejne/Zn6qqYluZZ2bqpo
