Played finger-style classical guitar from age of 6 to 13 and learned to play without looking at the fretboard while reading music. On most of her vids, she hardly looks at the fretboard! Got her first E guitar at 13 and in the next 4 1/2 years put out 16 killer vids of exceptional guitar covers. Many people agree that some of her covers are better than the originals. She played this song at 15 yrs old! Her Van Halen vid was her first on YT at 14yrs 2mns old. Watch her Steve Vai, Gary Moore, Jason Becker, and John Petrucci (Dream Theater) covers for some incredible technical prowess and killer bends and vibrato. She stopped posting on YT when she went to college to study technology. Some players criticize her for not showing emotion while she plays but, that is because of her classical training. Listen to the covers I mentioned and you will hear the emotion in her playing! She is a unique artist! Please do more Tina S videos.

To me the most mindblowing part of this is the fact that she is actually blending the two guitar solos of the song into one and then giving it her own spin and flavour. Even Herman Li dropped his jaw watching it, stopped the video, looked into the camera and went: Fååårk! Even though her band upon her return essentially is a garage Grunge band, she is in her early twenties and learning how to write rock songs and being part of a band. It´s not fantastic and people are giving her flack for this, but come on, she´s got a lifetime to learn that skill. She has long ago proven herself to the world and I hope this is the beginning of a long a fruitful life for her as one of this worlds most gifted, talented and skillful guitarists. None of us can hold a candle to her.
@ericsicard9105 ай бұрын
You should see Herman Li reacting to it 😂 He is mindblown and said this is probably the best cover of it. Someone asked in his chat «what can she improve? » and he responded "Am I even qualified to respond to this?" 😂

Sure, she's incredible BUT what's the point if all she can do is covering other's songs? I'd prefer a less talented guitarist who's able to create a great song, over Tina S. covering it.

@@Onlygloo she is writing songs now in her band Spin Twice and they are excellent 👌 Even without this, you can appreciate an incredible musician, in the same way we appreciate piano concertists.

@@Onlygloo Sure. First I would recommend you to check some of her other covers if you didn't yet, especially her covers of For The Love of God, Altitudes and The Loner. There she definitely plays with a lot of emotions (in her play, not on her face though). Here are the 3 songs she released with her band and that she has entirely composed: What's Wrong with Me? : kzbin.info/www/bejne/oX_YkmB4os2sl9ksi=DEYfD26dlBdjC-i- Gravity: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fHuZhJSYjZpsmrMsi=wvKsQXxp-OXKQOSu One of Us: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4GVmWaKi555nposi=SKpATjn4R0Cy27qY She said in an interview she is composing the musics of the band. When they released these first 3 songs they were still looking for a bassist that would be in tune with the group vibes. And don't expect to see amazing solos in these 3 songs: this is not her main focus anymore (she said she used it to train and acquire skills) and she will only create songs with such solos if it adds something to the song and is consistent with it.

He is amazing and has also teached other stellar guitar prodigies such as Dany Villareal from The Warning. But Tina S was his best pupil 😅
@leecowell81652 ай бұрын
Right that's where I noticed it too. Her hair blowing or waving is NOT sped up it retains its normal pace even her playing was taken to the next level and especially on that 2 minute plus riff beginning at around the 10 minute mark. I mean she really takes it up a notch there. She does that on the Steve Vai cover as well.

Tins S was 15 when she did Fire and Flames. Her KZbin vid Bo has 32M views. Herman Li's reaction video has 4.5M views and he said her cover was most assuredly the best. Blew his mind. Also, Tins S started taking lessons at 6 years of age. Did you notice the little smile just before she started? I think it is amazing that she rarely if ever watches what she is doing with her fingers. She now has her own band which, I hope, is doing well although you never hear anything about them.

Today, she plays in a band with bleached hair and tattoos on her neck and arms, still playing like a Goddess, but as you were saying with the volume, it does not matter when you're playing solo that much, today playing in a band she watches out with the volume, there was talk that she stopped posting because of trolls plus she wanted to finish her studies, that's why she stepped back from posting YT content, but she never closed her account, so since last year she has been posting again, enjoy your journey with this great teacher of guitar 🎸

There are at least 14 covers (including the two you have you referee to) that you need watch, all of which will prove that she is the absolute master. Thank you for your honesty. Myself a pianist and organist for 50+ years; also been playing in a band for thirty of its forty years of existence. However, I will/can never compare or compete with the big guns out there. Also been a member of a band for 40 years. You can well imagine the really great bands and musicians over the years... So also, in light of my own experience, and in my humble opinion, after listening (repeatedly) to all her covers and knowing what I know about the world of musicians out there, I tell you in no uncertain terms that Tina SETKIC is currently the world's best guitarist. Mind you, there a lot of very young guitar players across the world. The difference is not just speed. It's the really technical issues, the finer dynamics, the intricacies, skill in exactly how, what when to execute what needs to be executed. Thanks for your reaction. I like.

Those two are the best of Tina that I have seen. I would really like to see more of Angelina Jordan as well. Getting back to the topic of Tina S., she looks to be 13 to 14 in some of her videos. When I think back to myself at that age and how I reacted to any criticism, it's not hard to imagine why she might drop off of KZbin when controversy arouse. I don't know any details, but I did read that there was controversy about videos seeming to be modified. It's just a dammed shame that some people would react negatively to a young girl of obvious talent in any way other than to support her and encourage her. I've seen Tina's videos literally hundreds of times. She is mindblowing! This is the only performance I think that's taken from more than one play through. The guitar neck and body close-ups reveal her hair in different places and it's the same with the whammy bar. Far from being a criticism, it's just an observation. The fact that her repeat playing is accurate and seamless enough to do this is a testament to her insane talent. TTFATF is more of a technical exercise and requires little soul or feel to accomplish, more so exceptional skills, which Tina obviously has. The fact that For The Love Of God, Altitudes and The Loner are played through in one take so brilliantly just goes to show that the multiple angles in this video were more for aesthetics than an attempt to cover any shortcomings, which some have suggested over the years I've watched this superb display.

@@michaelgoyettemusic I caught a bit of the Fleetwood Mac gig, the sound didn’t come across to great on the live but it looked like a lot of fun.
