Aggie, you would NEVER know that you had never created a nail using paper forms. They are fantastic. You should be so proud of yourself. I am now looking forward to your next video, watching you create those beautiful nails. Thanks for sharing with us. Post note..I use my pinching tool every time I use builder gel, and it works perfectly.❣💓

I thought you did great for using paper forms for the first time! I'd only suggest "snipping" a slit at each growth channel when you have the form on. If you need to customize/cut the smile like to better fit the shape of your hyponychium, instead of cutting another smile line into your form (which is super hard in my opinion,) try cutting just like an elongated horizontal triangle shape to get it under your nail better. You can pull them out short of fully curing and do a pinch on them as well while the form is in place. Yes, I've seen bunches of nail techs use that exact pinching tool too. One said they avoid using their fingers to pinch because they don't get even pressure while others prefer using the clear clips that look like chip/crisp bag clips. They turned out lovely! That color looks awesome with your skin tone. 🥰😍💖

All help, tips, tricks are very much appreciated! Someone else told me the pinchers are only for acrylic but there's lots of conflicting info isn't there I suppose it's what works best for different people and whatever makes it easier personally doesn't it, I spent all this year learning to use builder's but only ever used tips and never paper forms so I'd love to master them! I think it's going to be getting those form's fitting properly for me and I'll be on my way! Thanks for you input again I really appreciate it xx 😘

@@UnpolishedbyAggie I started with acrylic on paper forms some 35 years ago. I have ski jump nails (most of my nails grow straight up instead of straight out or down,) so learning was a necessity since nothing really would stay. I've since moved to gel, but keep acrylic around for other uses than overlays or sculpting. I absolutely use those metal pinchers on gel, but generally before they're totally cured while they're mostly set but malleable. I don't get deformities, but it's a timing issue. Dorota Palicka here on KZbin has done many many videos sculpting and using those other clear clips, but it's still a timing issue since gel is soft and fussy. You did great and I'm very impressed! My family loves you since you keep it all real. ❤️ 😍 💖

Honestly I think you did a great job. I love paper forms I just feel like they give you a lightweight comfortable nail. Also I would have have watched a video twice as long. I don't no why you worry so much about the video length. I have no problem watching longer videos.

I’m so proud of you! You did really well for your first time and that’s coming from someone who does not own a full cover tip. I only use forms or tips in a pinch for 30+ years. Great job with beautiful products 🇦🇺❤️

I use nail forms and builder gel all the time - like everything, it takes practice and I think you’ve done a great job especially for your first time. To note: I always put a base coat on my natural nails first before I add the nail form and start building the extension.

Aggie... these nails, in my opinion, are the nicest nails you've done. They look more natural and not stuck on. Gorgeous. I have liked all your other nail designs but these nails just look perfect X Edit: please try again with forms and I would have loved a longer vid with all the details of your art work. 💅👍👌

I think you did great for your first time with forms. They're not easy! But imo a nail that's been sculpted on a form will always look better than one done over a tip. You can definitely use that kind of pincher on gel, but you don't leave it on while your nail is curing. You'd take your nail out about halfway through the curing time give it a good squeeze with the metal pincher, then take off the pinching clamp and finish curing. They do make little clear clips specifically for pinching gel. For those you'd take your nail out about halfway through curing, put the clip on, then leave it on and finish curing. Where it's a clear clip, it doesn't interfere with the gel curing properly. Dorota Palicka is an awesome resource on fitting forms and pinching gel. I've learned absolute TONS of info from her channel. Anyway, great job! Looking forward to more paper forms from you! 😘😘😘 Happy Halloween! 🎃💀👻

What an amazing job you did! I can’t believe this was your first attempt using builder gel with forms! Oh, you can use pinching clamps with builder gel, I see people do it all the time and it works perfectly, just like your set turned out! As others have said and selfishly speaking, I wished the video was longer and you would have included your nail art, perhaps because I’m impatient 😂. Oh well, I’ll just have to wait 😉 just know, in the future, I 💖 longer videos! Again, loved 🥰 the mani!

Nail tech here...that pinching clamp is for acrylic. I can give you some tips if you like or give you someone that shows the best step by step application on forms and how to customize to each nail. They turned out pretty good for your first time
