Hey Carlo, thanks for the review, I wanted to address your question regarding the grab bar. The firm piece of foam that I use in there is approximately the same width of your hand across the fingers, and it free floats inside the grab bar compartment. Because it is free floating, the fighter can move it to the exact location they want - it's very easy to just pinch the leather on either side of the bar to force it to move where you want it. You correctly noted that when the bar is too far to the outside, it can get uncomfortable on the outer palm, which is the main reason I wanted to keep is narrow across the palm, but still be adjustable. Thanks for giving me the chance to point it out.

I like the grip bar, he's right you really not need it at the end of the glove especially if you're using firm material for the grip bar. I like the grip bar in the Rivals RS1 2.0 because its nice soft so eventhough it goes to the end you can still close your first perfectly.

Sadly those gloves have the thinnest and cheapest leather you can buy. I have a pair of Title Classic Leather Super Bag Gloves 2.0, and the leather is so thin you can't really see the grain and it already has cracked and split open in 6 months of use. It also is separated from the foam, so the leather skin can be pinched. You can feel how thin it is I'd recommend just getting a good synthetic glove for that price... you're sacrificing too much to get leather at that price.
@Wall-Ethan

@@nicksalvatore5717 actually i bought a pair and mine have been fantastic. Mine had very nice padding, thick nice leather I could see every grain, not a stitch came loose, I’ve had em for a year now and they are working beautifully. Nice double stitching it’s great. Maybe you just got unlucky

Great video as always! The price is going to be the hardest to justify because this is now at Winning and Grant levels, and those gloves have been proven and tested by the pros. In your opinion, what would make someone want IVI over the other premium brands?
@boxingestilo2.341
@boxingestilo2.341 3 жыл бұрын
if you want to look at it that way, when you really think about it...no gloves are worth 450+ dollars....they all do the same thing, there are so many good options and boxing gloves out there now a days for 150-200 dollar price range, i cant see any justification on why anyone will go for winning or grant gloves at their price other then the fact that they just want it because of status of the brand of the glove.
@peejuu
@peejuu 3 жыл бұрын
@@boxingestilo2.341 sure they all do the same thing but when you get to the level of whereby your hands are your tools you would spend every penny you can to ensure that your tools are protected as much as possible, Grant is overpriced garbage imo. But winning and their closely guarded foam technology is second to none when it comes to hand protection its not too soft where your hands start hurting and its not too hard as to hurt your sparring partner. So they raise prices (compared to what it cost to make each glove) knowing people would pay for that piece of mind and not just because of it being a status symbol which is also true when you see guys rocking up throwing arm punches yet wearing high end gloves haha. 1v1 is a good initiative especially with being able to pick out the materials you want winning while great and grant doesnt allow you to pick the leather unless you go custom and that doubles up the price. So with 1v1 and their bespoke gloves im definitely interested in what they offer having used many of all the gloves Carlos channel has had to offer.
@maxrey4055
@maxrey4055 3 жыл бұрын
@@peejuu Rivals,ONX among many other gloves all protect your hands just the same so it all comes down to personal preference. There is no such thing as closely guarded technology , all types foam is widely available throughout the world , there is no patent for a glove manufacture.
@peejuu
@peejuu 3 жыл бұрын
@@maxrey4055 Max the foam in the winnings is unlike anything ive ever tried or owned and not only that but as the years go by the better they get if this was the case for every glove we wouldn't need channels like this to tell us about gloves and while they all do the same thing which is to protect the hands and our sparring partners health not all are built the same Rivals will only last a certain amount of time before either the Chinese or Pakistani (depending on the glove model) craftsmanship starts to show. And while we lost of winning clones none has ever been ever to replicate the durability and foam inside the glove itself why? Becuase even if there are no laws protecting the design of the gloves themselves, in Japan they do have laws that can protect companies from having technology being stolen by keeping their supply chain a secret a closely guarded secret. This is why not much is not known about the warehouses of suppliers to winning while lots is known about other manufacturers. Sure personal preference come into play but budget seems to be the issue ive found with those who keep looking for other gloves that they think can stand to the level of winning and the protection and durability they offer for training gloves.
