I reckon the 3 of you need to redo this as a 24 hour challenge all together on 1 boat. Genuinely impressed by Norms weaving skills, just needed a lot more. Smalls needed to build himself a chair to truly dominate his competition. AYO, use seasoned dry timber.

My guess would be that they tied the reeds while green and then let them dry out after building it and I'm pretty sure they used sticks and reeds

The 8lbs thing (like a hatchet with a sledgehammer) is called a "maul." Norm's raft is a lot like an ancient Egyptian reed boat (google it). Norm just needed like 3-4 times as many reeds. But it's a solid idea. You guys should have a redo.
