I swapped the wheels and went for 27.5” rear. I also flipped the chip and shortened the wheelbase. It is entirely different bike now. Love it!! The cable routing is nonsense and completely agree on that, just in a process of converting it to a standard setup (Hope stem and head set). I also had a brake failure. Which was very disappointing because Shimano is normally really good. So went for Hope Tech4 levers and V4 callipers. What a monster the bike is now. I only find the shock lacking in adjustability compare to the front so looking at the DHX2 with low and high speed damping. Over all a very capable piece of kit for reasonable money 🤙🏻

Nice mate , Great to hear you are having a blast on your bike . They're very capable bike but with a few mods they turn into a monster bike that slays any trail 🤙.

Nice one Phil... Those "SL" e-bikes are a massive difference to the Full Fat ones... The difference is amazing. And the "loss of power" you get from the smaller motor is hardly worth moaning about... Nice to hear your thoughts on this one mate... :D

Thanks for watching Phil 😉. I'm definitely keen on trying one of those out . 99%of the time you don't need all the power this bike has but I won't lie it is nice 😂

Yo Phil how did you disconnect the Bosch controller when you swapped the stem?
@PHILBYMTBSPINS Жыл бұрын
From memory, I disconnected it from the motor. Then pulled the cable out and route it back through the bike .

I just ordered mine a week ago, I hope the ratling is not that bad on mine, I hate It when Things ratle, whath exactly happened to the headtube bearings? Was everything tightened proper? Thank you for the rewiew, Greetings from Austria!
@PHILBYMTBSPINS Жыл бұрын
Hey Constantin, the rattle isn't that bad after a few rides you prob won't even notice it . The head tube bearings cups are made from plastic so no matter how much you tighten them they come loose and eventually crush and fail . Just replace them with some cane creek or similar units. All the best with your new bike 👍
