2/02/20 SUPERLITE SLC WALK AROUND (UPDATE)

Updated walk around since the first one I did in May 2019. Lots has changed, mostly minor stuff no one will ever notice.

If you don’t mind me asking how much did this build run you? I’m very interested and hard to find a lot of info on it.

the base kit costs like 48,000 USD not including shipping and you get everything besides engine and transmission. A lot of people go the extra mile and add rear facing camera set ups to replace a regular rear vision mirror, sometimes head units, speaker set ups, air tight for driving in the rain and other little bits and bobs catered to the individuals build needs. but including shipping it'll cost north of 50000 USD and then you may need some specific and uncommon tools such as a welding kit, a car lift of some sort, and a lot of time on your hands

@@Jewnbug1 its is extremely worth it, the SLC RCR and the Ultima GTR are some of the best budget track cars money can buy. the Ultima GTR set a lap record at the Top Gear track, i believe it was 0.1 seconds slower than the Pagani Zonda R which is a multi million dollar supercar. as for your '5pot' question i am not entirely sure what a 5pot is so if you could get back tome about that it would be great. i have seen many SLC builders put LS engines in their cars and they are quite big so the engine bay space is quite large, i have also seen s85 audi engines in these builds too, but im going to stick with putting the 5.0L V10 from lamborghini in mine just because i drool over the sound.

I keep thinking about making the plunge everytime I see a new vid of one come up and 5pot is audis 5cyl engine in the rs3, ttrs, or the KTM Xbox gtx etc. It's sounds godly and can make a crap ton of power on stock block . Wanting a boosted 5cyl before I go with another boosted v8 as I've had many.if I can do a Audi 5cyl in it...I may most likely make this move

Thanks! 525HP LS3 crate engine mated to Lamborghini/Audi transaxle. On QA1 coilovers with the front having RamLift pucks so I can easily clear speed bumps and such.

What do you think of the car now that the c8 corvette is out? Do you think its better?

Considering both cars cost about the same if u build the slc by yourself , the advantage for the slc is that it's unique and better looking but it's doesnt have the warranty of the corvette and the fact you can go to any mechanic to fix it for u , although if u are going to a mechanic to fix your car then the slc isn't an option for u . I would buy the slc because the drivetrain I will use , will have its parts readily available and not something weird .

Isn't the c8 only available in automatic? That right there is reason enough for me that the slc is better. I also think it looks better, and given its go-kart-y nature it's probably more fun to drive too.
